Which actors should Marvel recruit or which actors should Marvel have recruited?

Emily Blunt and Morena Baccarin should have played Black Widow and Maria Hill. As much as I like ScarJo and Cobie, Emily and Morena would have been perfect casting for those two key female roles. To Marvel's credit, they did initially cast Blunt as Widow, though.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (I was really pumped when he was up for a role in TWS), Emily Blunt and Tatiana Maslany.

As for the big A-Listers, we know Tom Hanks wants in on this, and also the C/Kates (Winslet and Blanchett). Blanchett excels at this pulpier stuff, but so far she's only gotten to do it in mediocre or disappointing movies (Indy 4, Hanna). She'd be A LOT of fun as an MCU villain, imo.

I really wanted Ryan Phillippe to play Daredevil. That obviously didn't happen but I know he auditioned for Captain America so the guy is open to the genre. I don't think he'd have been a good fit for Cap but there are plenty of other characters he could play. Very talented and underrated actor and the dude keeps himself in great shape. I hope he shows up in a Marvel or DC film eventually.
