Which DC film should be made next?

hmm.... well if we follow the news we're pretty sure GL is the next franchise getting WB's undivided attention.

but given that they already have the Batman and Superman franchises established it would also make sense if they went ahead and made a Batman-Superman movie, only because they dont need to set up an origin movie just to introduce the character to the general public.

personally i'd like them to tackle Wonder Woman already. of the DC Trinity she's the only character that hasnt gotten a movie yet, and the one most of the Joes and Janes ask about whenever Superman and Batman are being discussed together.

yea i said this before in a couple threads with the whole new direction they are going and want batman 3/superman reboot in 2011 possibly 2010. I say keep them both for 2011 and give them plently time to develop and get going and all that. Right now they should green lit green latern and green arrow for 2010 release since both seem to be well liked ideas and seem pretty far in the game and both could easily be filming by mid 09 for mid/late 10 releases. As much as i want to see ww/flash films both have been stuck in limbo for awhile now and no new developments going for them. So 2010 green latern/green arrow, 2011 batman 3/superman reboot, and then 2012-2013 flash/ww, and to wrap them all with jla in 2013-2015. sucks we are going to have to wait probably this long but if Sr was a better film we would probably be gotten a batman/superman film for 09 and flash/gl/ww probably would have been going around faster.

You know what's funny? A couple of years ago, it was the exact opposite situation. There was nothing going on in the way of a Green Lantern or Green Arrow movie, and we all thought we'd be seeing David Goyer's The Flash and Joss Whedon's Wonder Woman anytime soon. Now it's the complete opposite. Here's hoping what happened to Flash and WW doesn't happen to Green Lantern and Green Arrow.

I'd like to see a Green Arrow film more than anything. Oliver Queen is a pretty dark character, and I could see them going in the direction of Batman Begins/The Dark Knight. Hell, they could even call the film "The Green Arrow".

Plus, looking at the comic how many times is his origin actually relevant to the story? You don't see the X Men explaining evolutionary theory every movie. The Fantastic Four didn't start the sequel explaining their trip into space and triggered mutations they just gave the viewer credit. I feel generally in a blockbuster movie the audience goes in knowing that they are going to see a person with extraordinary abilities fight evil. So why not just start from there.

As for the question. green arrow should go first. Green Lantern should be epic and and needs a lot of prep and work. Green Arrow in prison is naturally small and confined and earthbound. It wouldn't warrant the same budget as Green Lantern. The script is done as far as I know, the writer seems optimistic so lets get to work. As a viewer I would want Green Lantern sooner but logistically with prep and CGI alien worlds to design I can see how a smaller movie could get going faster.

Well right now since there is no real development for supes i doubt 2010 would really work for supes reboot release. I would keep 2011 for supes reboot and batman 3 like robinov said. For 2010 if they really want something there they should do Greg berlanti's green lantern and goyer's green arrow. Both of these films have alot of development done and could easily begin filming by mid 09 for mid/late 10 releases.

I understand the appeal of Supermax, but it makes me think of Steel and what a nightmare that was. I think its a great idea for a sequel, just not for the first Green Arrow film.
