except his American accent is pretty bad. He looks the part though... but yeah I'm not a big supporter of Elba as GL anymore.

Shauner you have obviously never seen Idris Elba on The Office. Idris Elba's American accent in Prometheus and The Office were both AWFUL. He's clearly British. His good looks and acting don't save his terrible accent there. But I'll take people's word for it that his accent isn't always distractingly British. But if his acting on Prometheus or The Office are any indicator of how he'd do as John Stewart, then I don't want him to play that character at all. .

I think we'd be better off with an American actor. Boseman is my choice, Boseman could do just as good a job as Elba.

Hmm, well i haven't seen him in the Office. Prometheus yes, but i dont remember being distracted. I thought it was a fine accent. But in The Wire and other movies ive seen him playing an American, it was fantastic. Flawless. But then again, he's playing someone more from the streets.

Boseman is the perfect choice by the way.

Have you seen American Gangster? He has a small part in that playing an American.

he sounds fine in a 28 second video... but when he keeps going his accent shines through. Maybe he's improved it since The Office, but it was noticeable there..

I'm hoping for Hal or Kyle anyways though.

Hal needs some introduction anyways, I'm glad to see they are taking their time with him. I'd love it if his origin was part of the JL story like in The New Frontier

Hal Jordan without question should be used.. his friendship with Barry Allen is a massive strong point. Also his wit and Han Solo like nature will make him one of the GA's favourite heroes out of Justice League when it's released..

This. It doesn't matter which one they use, the public doesn't care about any Green Lantern. All that matters is that they make the character cool on film. Hal can be done well. He's going to be a Han solo/Kirk type character and the general public are going to love it.
