I can't imagine that being worse than what we got w/Hal's film. I'd rather not see Hal again tho. Idris Elba & Robert Kazinsky would be perfect as John & Guy in a GLCoprs film.I STRONGLY DISAGREE! Hal was horrible long before the movie was even a studio executive's godawful idea. They should never have attempted to do a movie w/him as the main character to begin with
This is lame & never works. Name dropping iconic characters to defend Hal only shines a bright green spotlight on how insignificant he is compared to them. These are icons that have already proven they can be box office draws(not sure how a solo Robin movie would do, but Robin's pretty well known). Hal isn't and damn sure hasn't. Even if we take my negativity towards Hal out of the equation &I pretend for the sake of argument that Hal's not horrible, his 1st foray into a big budget live action movie was a critical AND financial disaster, AND a very expensive one at that. Can't say that for Wolvie or Bats or any of the other folks people like to bring up to support Hal. Hal belongs to a massive corps w/thousands of members who have pretty much the same weapon & powerset. That also can't be said for Wolvie or Bats or any of the other folks people like to bring up to support Hal. Even if you like Hal, you can't deny that because he belongs to a huge corps, he's much more replaceable than Wolverine or Batman(or Supes, or WW, or the Flash, etc). We've seen a DC universe where Green Lanterns were present sans Hal and it was awesome. This is one of the key strengths of the GL franchise. The corps aspect gives you options that you just don't have w/other heroes. Instead of trying to build up Hal's popularity at the expense of the corps like his film did (and failed at massively), they should play up the corps aspect & let the replaceable character that they epically failed with already sit this one out
