I think Ang's Hulk would poop his overly saturated purple biker shorts if the Abomination ever showed up. For goodess sake, a green poodle just about took him out. 2008's Hulk would eat that thing and spit out the collar.

What I like about this "New" Hulk is that, from what I have seen, he seems to know what a Bad Ass he is. He knows that "Hulk is the stongest one there is!"

Now I know that Ang was doing an orgin story and he wanted the Hulk to be more like a child learning to walk but everything the 03 Hulk did just took too much effort and was just too clutzy. Such as throwing the Tank. That's cool and all but I don't like the fact that he has to spin so many times and thus gets dizzy because of it. In fact everytime he shows a feet of strength something awkward happens along with it. Such as falling down, losing his grip, or struggling to pick something up.


Things look much more effortless to the new Hulk and thus making him seem more powerful and sure of himself.


Just for the record I enjoyed 03 Hulk but I feel that it has not aged well and that Ang should have let a pro actor preform the Hulk parts and not Ang himself.

those are the parts i loved because its so realistic. Its adds to the CGI in scenes. I mean I think angs hulk was balancing it out pretty well, he wasnt a superhero in that film really, like you said, learning to walk. and i think it just adds so much more to the CGI they used, because proper body movement is key, and having little instances like that, people would say "wow it looks like real movement" but i dnno, they didnt ahve enough of that in 03 hulk, there should have been a certain evolution.. have the stumblin and fumbling in teh begining and then sure of himself in teh end, smashing and picking up things with no effort and clutzyness, would have been alot more fun.

but instances like when he jumped on the plane to keep it from crashing were great.

havnt seen the new movie yet, but obviously it will be compared, I know ill love it. I liked 03 hulk more than the average person and ill love the new one. i respect them as different interpretations by different artists, and they both did spectacular jobs in my opinon

Well it's OFFICIAL from my standpoint: The 2003 Hulk is definitely more stronger than his new, lyposuctioned, overly muscular, shorter counterpart that's for sure! Although the newer version is a completely bad ass, but he's not a strong, nor have the endurance levels that 2003 Hulk had. Both Hulk's have pros and cons, but i love 'em just the same!

He definitely goes great distances, he joes doesn't jump as high vertically. So instead of leaping over skyscrapers he zig zags across country very quickly.

I was fine with the Hulk jumping the way he did in Ang's Hulk, but I understand it wasn't very popular and they found a good concession in this one.

Actually, Sava, remember when I first logged in (2004) and linked a site that said the Hulk (03) was going to grow to 20 feet in the sequel. So, it does seem that the 03 Hulk was still able to grow and never reached his maximun height in the movie.

Now that I've seen it there is no doubt in my mind that Ang's Hulk was stronger. I don't think those sonic cannons would have even held him.

i think the 08 hulk, upon becoming the hulk, was weaker than the 03 version.

i DO however, believe the 08 hulk has the potential to become stronger than the 03 hulk, his strength levels increase at a drastically different rate than 03's. not to mention his ground pound/thunderclap were much more intense *now that i think about it, this may not be a fair comparison, i don't firmly remember 03 thunderclapping.*

however, each character has a special place in my heart, and their both the champions as far as I'm concerned.

He did at the end when he was fighting Blonsky!!! When he finally overpowered Blonsky then ripped his elbow bone out from his arm and stabbed him with it. Also when he choked Blonsky with the chain links. You could see it in his eyes that he was stronger than before!!!!

you guys do know that the leaping the hulk does is from the comics too righto. I thought it was friggin awesome to see that on screen in 03.

if anything im reallly glad we got a great balance between hulks here... in 03 we get the strong leaping, "puny human", superb CG, artistic approach that wasnt a complete disaster, and with this new hulk we get a leaner, cooler, fast paced "hulk smash" thunder clapping hulk. theres not that much repitition other than being green

the new hulk is more badass in my opinon, more hulk like.. as I was watching it, I felt like I can see this hulk teamed with captain america and Iron man... and Angs hulk couldnt really be. I take that story as a lone story, and this new one as a part of the marvel universe. I dont mind the CGI in the new one... its okay, reminded me of gollum at least.

Also in this film the Hulk gets to fight someone as strong or stronger than him... so Hulk overcoming that even shows his emmense strength in this one. 03 he was just tossin stuff really. If 08 hulk isnt as strong, he sure is more respectable of a fighter!

I love the incredible Hulk movie, I enjoyed it on many levels and found it about 10 times better then Angs version, but I won't deny the fact that Norton's was weaker, and I don't even think that is a bad thing.

And it doesn't mean he can't get stronger with the proper motivation, but I love that he is slightly more vulnerable, and then can totally RAGE and get the upper hand.

you gotta be kidding me right ? 03 hulk looked just like shrek a fat chubby guy that ran away from the army and had emotional problems with his dad, this hulk doesnt run from the army seems more savage,and looks like the hulk and not shrek with a john goodmen haircut. Its the hulk movie weve been waiting for, not some movie that looked like it could be on lifetime and was produced by oprah.
