The new Hulk had a better design, while I think that ILM's effects were better.

One can only imagine a Hulk featuring the design used by R&H but rendered and animated by ILM..................

The new Hulk looked the absolute best. He was ripped, looked monstrous, and was absolutely badass.

Which "Which Hulk looked better to you?" thread looks better to you?

I liked the new Hulk a lot more. I may not be accompanied by many with this, but I think the 2008 movie had better CGI than the 2003 movie as well.

The norton hulk it look more like the savage hulk the bana hulk came off as too cartoony.

Norton's Hulk hands down. They also did a great job in this movie at isolating Hulk so that he never looked very Cheesy. This movie was very good.

:whatever: I honestly cannot comprehend how anyone can think the Hulk is "too green." I never even heard this as a complaint about Ang's movie until after the new washed-out color was first announced.

Actually that's one of the big reasons people thought the 03 one looked silly. They even changed the box art on the dvd to look more like the movie because it made it look that much more goofy. The posters looked amazing. Dark green tone, looked real. The lime green looked like a cartoon but is what they used in the film so they changed it to suit the dvd covers because people were expecting the movie to look like the posters and instead got a cartoon character. Example:

Changed to this...

I think his complexion should be somewhere in the middle.

I think the Norton Hulk looked just about right in terms of color. The green of Ang's Hulk was too bright, but I didn't really care. But I can understand how a bright green can be associated with a cartoony sense of reality.

Okay. I can "feel" you on that.

I already have a cartoony sense of reality so I was OK with it.

no way did bana hulk have better clothing, nortons hulks clothing was spot on, as banner and especially hulk. The scene where hulk rips his shirt from his shoulder was awesome too

C'mon guys, give me a break :cwink:...I wrote that soon after I woke up. I don't have a clue where "a cartoony sense of reality" came from. And it doesn't make any sense either...

One of my favorite scenes!

This is strictly about the Hulk's actual physical appearance, nothing else. I personally felt that the Bana version looked more lifelike, (meaning he blended into the scenery better-it looked more to me like he was actually there) but the Norton version had better detailing & looked more menacing.:bh:
Perfect answer but I don't think anyone else will ever admit it!!!

So because we said that the Norton version looks better we must be lying? ****.

Bana version looked like a cartoon character, Nortons' did not.

Like everyone else I liked the style of Hulk in TIH it was closer to what I picture as the Hulk but its rendering was god awful in my opinion. The FX house involved was a downgrade. Do they do video games because that was the quality level. The Bana Hulk to me looked too soft and the size changes through out the movie was not Hulk but it did a much better job at making him look more real and less obviously CG even though the technology was 5 years older.

It's a hard call. They both had their pros and cons. I really didn't mind the bright green Ang Lee version. Yes, it was more cartoony. But that didn't bother me. Norton's Hulk looked more fierce and menacing, but sometimes didn't look as real as Ang's. I liked them both in their own way. I'm not trying to straddle the fence. I just need to watch TIH a few more times before I can make a definative answer.

You lost me at the totally ignorant video game comment.
