What I enjoyed the most
1. X3
2. X2
3. X1

This is what I agree with the most as well. X-2 was clearly the best made film. However, I enjoyed x3 the most (and no im not some 13 year old action monger). I loved x3 up until mansion invasion. After Wolverine left the mansion with Rogue, Iceman, and Pyro, the movie went severely downhill for me. I can rant about X2 but I wont for now. The movie was redeemed by the promise of Phoenix at the end. X3, for me, had the best plot, but was carried out the worst. I feel like they should have gone with either the phoenix plot, or the cure plot, but not both at the same time. There are tons of bits and pieces of x3 that I would change, but at the same time I felt like I finally got some good pretty good action (lets face it, it's X-men. If you want a superhero soap opera watch Smallville).

And as for the first film... The first half was done perfectly. The way he introduced all of the characters was flawless. But the plot about the "turning everyone to mutants" and his machine on the statue of liberty... Didnt do it for me. Same with Wolverine's fight with Deathstrike. My only other gripe is Cyclops being SUCH A GOD DAMN ***** THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE SERIES. For someone who is supposed to be the leader, he was by far the worst character in the first two movies and barely even counts as a character in the third.
Despite ALL of the flaws (which I understand were completely rampant) in X3, I still think I enjoyed it a liiiiitttllleee bit more than X2, even though X2 was clearly the better quality film.

Can't choose between X3 and X2, but I liked X1 the least.

we can choose more than one best film in this poll?

X-men 3 is the best, anyone who says otherwise is no true fan, X-3 felt like the book finally, you got to see the characters better.

All singer did was his own boring crap, 'cause he doesn't care and is no fan, but Ratner does get it and I hope he does more!

X-3 felt like a comic book movie it was fun and had heart.

This thread kind of validates what me and my three friedns thought when we walked out of the theater after seeing X3. While we all said X3 was better than the first two, we all felt that we've seen 2 very good Xmen films in a row.

Overall, at the end of the day I was simply entertained more by X3.

Riiiiight. Just because I want characters to act in-character and have some character development that I don't have to search with a magnifying glass, I'm not a true fan.

So killing off the books main character (Cyclops), trampling on anything that resembled the real Phoenix Saga, Giving Wolverine Cyclops' personality, Giving Callisto Quicksilver's and Caliban's powers, Making Magneto act like a dime store Osama Bin Laden, curing Rogue, marginalizing Kitty and Colossus, giving the entire school over to Storm, having Juggernaut get beating by a wall, Having Warren and Scott be emo, curing Mystique and having Magneto just say "oh well that sucks" when he tends to help fallen comrades, making the X-Jet a Wonderjet rip-off, having a mutant whose power is the death hug, killing Psylock like a punk, killing Xavier and making the brotherhood dress like bondage queens suddenly makes it feel the comic

X-men 3 is the best. Singer just stuck the X-men in black leather because the Matrix was popular at the time.

He ruined the look and tone. So, don't talk to me about looks. These movies should've looked better and been more epic. Ratner got it right it felt like the X-men, it felt like the comic.

The whole thing is great. Ratner needs to do #4 and make it look more like the book now, he tried to have it look like stupid singer but you could see his love for these characters come out.

And Cyclops will be back. X-3 is the best there is!

Sometimes I can't tell if people are trying to be sarcastic or not.

It's a nice change of pace for me in that choosing a favorite this time is actually really difficult.... which is a good thing, in this case. ;)

In many ways X-Men: The Last Stand was fantastic and should be the pinnacle of the series... but its also flawed, and definitely too short. So in some ways this makes me lean towards X-Men 2..... but suddenly, I look again at the finale of X-Men:TLS, which just absolutely nailed the feeling of a comic book come to life in a way that only a handful of other comic movies ever have.... even with the divergences from the original storyline, it felt exactly like something that could've happened in the comics while also never losing the unique tone of the movies.

None of this is to demean X-Men 1; its still a great movie in its own right, I just don't feel quite the same about it as its sequels.

But like others have said.... every movie really does fit together as seperate pieces of the puzzle. It almost seems weird to rank them, because it just seems "off" to seperate the seperate parts of a whole that way. Even with all the behind the scenes drama, in the end it's formed itself into one of the best-constructed trilogies in many years, to the point where I almost don't want to see X-Men 4 ever happen --- the X-Men trilogy as it is, all comes together in just a perfect way.

What ever rocks your boat.

I don't think 104 minutes is epic, but when Fox makes the Batman and Robin version of X-men at around 75 minutes long......

out of pure enjoyment i rank them like this

1.x2
2.x3
3.x-men

for story id rank them the same but for action it wud be

1.x3
2.x2
3.x-men

x3's action was breath taking

for pacing i dono x3 went to fast x-men i found got boring at a few parts so i guess x2 is the best for me.

other then that id say x2 is definently the best with x3 close behind. x3 is as good a movie it jus has a few more flaws but id say its defiently an excellent conclusion to the trilogy and i find it helpful if u view it as an add on to x2 wich makes a huge complete 4 hourish movie :).

if theres ever an extended x3 with more story and char development then that cud be the best

X-men trilogy is the exact same as the Original Star Wars Trilogy.

First movie, good introduction of characters, decent stanalone film.

Second Movie, Much better, longer, fantastic ending

Thrid Movie, Kinda Cheesy, not as good as 2 but still has its moments

yup...the "ORIGINAL" SW....not, whatever the $%^$%^l has come out the last few years (sob)

The only one that's even close to decent, let alone good is X3.

Singer is the most incompetent hack in mainstream Hollywood today and he butchered this franchise from the start with horrid, non-existent characterization and bland as can be direction.

Considering the circumstances, Rattner did as good of a job cleaning up his hackneyed mess as he could've.

The Last Stand is the first actual X-Men movie, Singer's trash are just horrible episodes of the Wolverine show guest starring thinner than tissue paper versions of the X-Men. You can clone a character named Generic about 10x, and you'd have a close representation of the ensambles in Singer's movies.

X2 and X3 are better than X1.

I don't want to choose between X2 and X3.

Even though The Last Stand sports a few cheesy one-liners, the trilogy ends (or does it? - be sure to sit through the credits) in a powerful, heartbreaking, breathtaking crescendo that is worth every penny of the price of admission.

x-3 was not even close to the travesty that was Batman and Robin. If Wolverine was running around in a neon light car paying for things with his X-credit card, and there were random close up shots of his butt, then yeah it would have been the Batman and Robin Version of the x-men.
