Which Obscure 90s Cartoon Should Get a Live Action Movie?

I could see the rescue rangers working in live action but it would have the look of Alvin and the chipmunks with no humans in it. And I would so go see it.

Gargoyles would be awesome as live action
Freakazoid would be sweet
Captain planet (get Al Gore to promote and have the planeteers dealing with global warming)

I personally want a recess live action flick it would be funny as hell.

Darkwing Duck.

How would that work as a live-action movie? Call is Darkwing MAN?

I could see Captain Planet has something huge.
Not only could it be a sweet action blockbuster, but also an enviromental film.

lol. :lmao: Dude, how old are you? Captain Planet was a show NO ONE took seriously. The only reason we watched was to make fun of it. Yea, they were trying to do something good but the show was too preachy and too much propaganda. A captain planet movie would be successful but I doubt it would be a HUGE hit or anything. The ONLY way it could be a HUGE hit is if they tried to tell a good story that featured the environmental message instead of it being preachy propaganda.

GARGOYLES would be amazing. It had live action plans for a while...unfortunately they were scrapped.

Do you not remember the Underdog movie that came out a few years back? Or Michael bay's Transformers? You just take some key elements and rape the source material. That's the golden Hollywood rule:)

I've been a proponent of a Gargoyles movie for quite some time.

I hate this constant b*tching about Transformers

Transformers has no true source material. It's a hoge podge of over 25 retellings, reboots, and reimaginings since it's inception. It probably skyrockets to about 50 different continuties if you throw Japanese exclusive universes in there. Bay did nothing new. Hell Transformers, since it's inception, was a reimagined franchise. 6 or 7 unrelated toylines that were about human piloted robots brought to the United States and rewritten to be about sentient beings.

Also Transformers, the first cartoon, wasn't genius and was a mediocre show written by committe that recycled plotlines from G.I.Joe.

What the hell was there to rape about Transformers?
I know right: "They raped my favorite 22 minute toy commercial from when I was a kid. They took something stupid for kids and made it a popcorn film for adults. WAAAAAHHHHH!!!!"

....And I'm a huge, like gianormous Transformers fan. I memorized the movie (1984) for christ sake. I still understand how dumb that show was though.

Gargoyles is a good choice but it would have to be changed quit a bit. It could work tho

Batman Beyond. Technically it started in 1999 so ill count it. It should be made a couple years after the current batman franchise ends, I want a live action version of this so bad

Dexters Lab is something id like to see. It could be pretty funny. Not too sure if it would work but id like to see it

Im sure theres more but thats off the top of my head.

Batman Beyond would be good down the road, especially after this series wraps up. You wouldn't want to reboot and tread over Nolan's very quality work.

Dexter's Lab is another interesting choice. Good idea for a kids film at least.

Dexter's Lab could make an awesome CGI / Kid's movie, I agree ShadowBoxing.

For an older crowd, I'd be in favor of a live-action, well cast "Hey Arnold," or even "Doug." They could work, I believe, but the scripting and acting would have to be perfect.

Doug could be played by that kid from Juno and Superbad

IDK, a real guy with a football head seems kinda, well weird. I think it works better as a cartoon

Doug would work, I like that idea

You mean the one that was released this past summer? Dude...don't use that movie has a blueprint for Darkwing Duck. :csad:

Gargoyles that would be bad ass to see Goliath flying across the screen, and Jonathon Frakes of course would have to be Zanatos
