I'm going with Hellfire simply because I don't think it would center on 1 character unlike Legion who doesn't interest me at all.

Hellfire for sure. I want to see a good Emma Frost :D

But I'm not sure I understand what's in development and what isn't.

X-Force, X-Factor, New Mutants, Legion, Hellfire... I think Fox should release their X-Universe Plan or whatever they call it nowadays.

I do believe they have said that they are still working on X-factor Investigations.

Definitely Legion for me. Still too much unknown about Hellfire, but the concept of Legion is great as a stand alone story.

With the showrunner attached to it and the Network involved, Legion for me.

This could be one of the few in the genre, as opposed to something on the CW, that can be popular come award season time.

No pressure or anything.

I find it kind of funny that the original poster would say Legion will focus on one character. That's sort of like saying Orphan Black is about one character.

Well haven't you read the show description from Marvel when they announced these shows? It would clearly focus on Legion who is David Heller in the comics. Well okay maybe, he would just be a supporting character because Legion is supposed to be a mutant team.

Anyway, if Emma Frost isn't not in Hellfire, I wouldn't be surprised if Selene finally makes an appearance.

At the moment neither. I'll wait for further developments.

You do know who Legion is, right? Much like Orphan Black, one actor does not necessarily mean one character.

Legion because of Hawley and FX.

Hellfire will be set in the 60's, so I think they might use the show to tell what happened between First Class and Days of Future Past.

Fassbender, Lawrence, Hoult or McAvoy will hardly cameo, but there are some characters like Banshee and Emma or even Azazel and Trask that could show up. That would be interesting for me.

I guess Legion at the moment, if only because I'm concerned that they might bring back January Jones.

Different personalities don't mean different person. Legion/David Heller will be the central character of the series even if he has a hundred personality inside his head.

Brilliant! That's something First Class fans would wanna see!

I would be surprised if Jones reprised her role as Emma, but stranger things have happened.

they would have to recast certain roles anyway if it really was a sorta continuation of what happened in between FC and DOFP and they wouldn't be able to use mystique and magneto Unless Lawrence or fassbender were kind enough to appear

Hellfire is my choice but I'll be watching both religiously.

Would anyone be upset if January came back?

I'd really like Christiana Hendricks as the Red Queen

Valerie Cooper would make a great protagonist

She could really get into the part on a TV show so hopefully they let her back.

Maybe she'd get the enough character development and fight scenes that she didn't get in X-Men: First Class. It would be very interesting to see what clothes she would wear for the entire run.

Ok so I'm wondering since this is a TV show with probably what 22/23 episodes? They can really get in deep with the HFC and Inner Circle.

How deep should it get though I'd save the Red Kings & Queens for Season 2 but

Should it just be Black & White Kings/Queens or should they go full out with White Warrior Princess, Bishops & Rooks and a Lord Imperial over everyone?

Also they do Upstarts in Season 3

I really see Hellfire Club as Evil X-Men

They have a mansion they have students and they have atleast 10-20 mutant adults at a time.

I wonder if they'll intro the Massachusetts Academy in season 1

Who knows this might only get a 13 to 15 episode order per season similar to what Fox did to Sleepy Hollow/The Following.

I thought it might be like Gotham...

But there is advantage to a shorter season thats actually a good idea really

I would like Shinobi Shaw to be in this unless Kevin Bacon would come over to FOX TV is he to big for such a role?

Update

“Legion and Hellfire are both super active. Hellfire we’re hoping to be shooting at the beginning of next year, the pilot. It’s been extraordinary working with Noah Hawley [on Legion], who I think is a straight up genius. Actually the idea for Legion, it began in conversations with Lauren Schuler Donner and Bryan Singer and Noah me, but I remember I was actually in Moscow last year about to go into a dinner, I was there for the Days of Future Past premiere, and I was sitting in a car outside a restaurant about to go into dinner. It was really early on in the process, like one of the first conversations, and Noah and I were on a call just the two of us just riffing ideas, and I was sitting outside what I thought was gonna be like a 10 minute call and I ended up sitting out there for three and a half hours, missing the dinner. Everybody had not only had the dinner but went home, and I just got off that call being like, ‘It’s midnight in Moscow but we have to make this show with this guy because he’s so brilliant.’ So that’s really ramping up now, the production’s ramping up to start shooting at the beginning of the year with FX.”

“I mean the thing that’s cool and that’s the hope in branching out to TV is that we can tell these X-Men stories in a slightly different way and even with a slightly different tone. It’s one of the thing we’re kind of doing in the different movie franchises. I mean Deadpool obviously has a very different, almost antithetical tone to the mainline X-Men movies. The X-Men movies are dramatic and almost operatic, whereas Deadpool is irreverent and hysterical and sort of a dirty R-rated comedy in many ways. And Gambit will have its own different flavor and tone to it, will be more of like a heist movie and a sexy thriller in a way. So the TV shows give us an opportunity to go even further and certainly what I’m seeing on Legion with Noah and FX is an intent to do something completely original in the genre, in some ways to sort of blow up the paradigm of comic book or superhero stories and almost do our Breaking Bad of superhero stories.”

“The Hellfire script we have an amazing writing team, really two writing teams working together on it, and also that will shoot next year.”

I'm shocked legion is doing so well! I thought hellfire would easily dominate this poll!

Thats most likely because Legion is a cable show and Noah Hawley is the showrunner.

For me, Hellfire sounds a little too much like Agents of Shield. Need to see a lot more before I get on board. Legion, however, is a fascinating concept.
