Oh, to accurately answer the initial questions.
1) I would be extremely excited about a Morpheus TV show. I would be very hesitant about the introduction of Trinity, because at that point, imho, the series should be wrapping up, and it may be tempted to continue into pointlessness, like Smallville. I'd be excited about a Matrix series centering on Morpheus and some new characters, his contemporaries, as long as Trinity were not in the equation.
2) Obviously I'd like to see the Locke/Niobe/Morpheus thing play out over several seasons. If I recall correctly, Lock doesn't have a plug, and thus, if serving on a ship, would be the operator or perhaps a mechanic like Dozer. I think having those three on the same ship would be incredible. I picture Morpheus doing something very horrible in pursuit of his destiny that drives Niobe away, and leaves her away, perhaps even as a rival at that point.
I'd like to see switch and Apoc discovered before Trinity and shown how cool they are, how they get together/how in love they are, and all that good stuff.
I'd like to see the other Agents as competent threats as opposed to just Smith's sidekicks. Perhaps they have outstanding teamwork, not unlike the Albino twins, perhaps they have their own computery attitudes, one asking rhetorical/sarcastic questions, the other speaking to the humans like small children, inferior in every way, to be patronized at best and disciplined at worst?
I'd like to NOT paint whatever that traitor's name from the first matrix was as an evil judas from the start. Having him be sarcastic or whatever is fine, but even Smallville's Luthor was too evil for my taste. Having a character suddenly give in later makes for much more tragedy than having a slow build to 'oh, of course he's evil now'
I'd like to see the contrast between Morpheus' Oracle/One-based religion be contrasted with the science of other characters in a smart and subtle, but clear fashion... perhaps giving him a mentor in this. At the end of the day, Morpheus is a religious man, while he is surrounded by people who are not... that has to come out. No one else is following their Oracle-mission like he is, are they?
Also, speaking of which, I'd like to see how the Oracle missions work together and illustrate how she's basically pulling strings on all the humans to make things work out. And how the Oracle isn't always as philanthropic as she can seem sometimes. Why do they trust her in the first place?
Basically, there are plenty things to establish. A mystery about the original origin of the Matrix, already spelled out in Animatrix, is not among the most consequential.
3) No Network preference personally... NBC is fine.
I do have personal curiosity now... how did you get in contact with these folks to have them even look over your script, much less consider producing it?
