World Which X-Man has received the least development in the films?

In your opinion, which X-Man deserves a little more screen time to develop his/her character more?

I'm interested to hear your views.

Got to be Scott they treated him wrong well didn't write him right he shoulf have got more.
Also I would have liked to see more Kitty and Colossus

Colossus definitely. He's just been walk around in the background, ocassional say something, throw Wolverine guy so far.

Second place, is Scott, but at least with Scott, they showed him to a be a great leader in X-Men, then showed his love for Jean in X2: X-Men United, then he became emotionally distraught over her death in X-Men: The Last Stand. Believe it or not, people, his character has actually had development. Might not be the development you all wanted but yep, development.

Where the hell is Rogue on this list? That's who has very little development. She started out as whiney unsure girl and ended up as whiney unsure girl in X-Men: The Last Stand.

Oh I agree with Justabill about Colossus.Then Angel but he was only in 1 film but still.He only had like 4 scenes and like 2 of them were just him flying.And then Cyke.

Yeah you should put Rogue on that list. She was nothing but a whiney little weakling who never progressed in all 3 films.
To me it was either Rogue or Cylcops. They were so underused it was really annoying. The way they were treated only shows the film makers never cared about them. Oh and how can I forget, they had the most upsetting finales.

Cyclops most definately, He was fine in X1 but X2, he was hardly in it and hardly in it in x3. Colossus for sure, he was cool and I wished he was in more fight scenes and had more interaction with the X-Men, especially at the school. Angel, Beast and Iceman.

so sad but true... You can imagine how much happiness I had acquired waiting up until all three movies were released... knowing that Jubilee was a confirmed character in each... only to be let down big time for all three films.
You don't mess with a Jubilee fan.

she'd better be in the next X-Film if they ever decide on making one, and actually do something important or cool this time around.

I voted for Storm, Colossus, Kitty, Cyclops and Iceman.

Yes, Storm got lots of lines in X3, but they still mostly just use her as a weather machine.

You see Iceman grow, loterally, but his character doesn't get much of it at all.

Cyclops, well, it's been said enough. They ****ed up.

Colossus, ditto.

Kitty was just there to showcase a cool-looking power.


Many other characers should be on this... it would probably be easier to ask "who received development", because the answer would be limited to like 5 -7

Everybody says that Rogue should be on the list, but I would have thought we've covered her story. I mean we saw her when her powers first manifested, how she dealt with being a mutant in X-Men.

In X2, she had matured into a strong woman with a boyfriend. Near the end of the film, she even had some X-Man duties (flying the jet).

And in the Last Stand, she has to deal with Bobby/Kitty and the cure. So her character has been given lots of depth and personality.

I would have thought Storm would be the number one vote. I mean no hint of her past, no depth to her character. Just one liners that come off more dramatic than they're supposed to be and mediocre fight scenes.

Thanks, ComicChick. I am really surprised that Storm hasn't got like a 100 votes, but I suppose it just means that if they do an X4 (a big IF), they can focus more on Storm's character and shed some light on her past.

A lot of people are embittered about how much screentime Halle got compared to other actors/characters, but I voted Storm. She may have had screentime, but they still didn't give her any real personality.

yeah screen time definitely doesn't equal personality. to be honest when they focused more on her in X3, i didn't mind at all. it didn't seem forced or anything. it seemed like a natural flow of events.

however, in like the first 2 movies, at times i felt like wolverine had to be the forefront.

i think Colossus definitley. In the comics colossus and wolverine did alot of the muscle work and colossus is a character with wicked possibilities. Yea i didnt really like what happened to Cyclops but i still think that Colossus is a great character with great potential.

As much as I'd love to put all the blame on Ratner, Singer was the one who first discarded Cyclops in X2. The guy was out of the picture for over half the movie. He had some great scenes early on and at the end, but the Wolverine/Jean relationship just took over everything.

That's why X-Men will always be my favorite. Even though Wolverine is obviously the central character, Jean, Cyclops, and Wolverine all have pretty equal importance to the team.

Definitely, Colossus!

At least with Cyclops, they explored his relationship with Jean Grey a bit. Colossus never had a real story-arc in the movies.
