The Dark Knight Who are these people viciously insulting every critic that gives TDK a bad review?

It's usually their reasons.

"Why do comic book movies try to be serious?"

"Bale can never surpass Keaton."

"Where is the Danny Elfman theme?"

"This movie should be more like Batman and Robin."

etc. Their reasons for marking it low either usually seemed forced or shallow.

WOW! The audacity of these dudes that mouth off with non-sense! It sounded as if he actually wanted this movie to be Tim Burton's Batman. Nostalgia overlooked his opinion on this current Batman series. SMH.:whatever:

After reading some of the "bad reviews" I must say, I don't see why people even bother getting mad over them. I mean, the bottom line is, the reviews aren't even good "bad reviews" ...they're just...bad. Badly written with very bad points.I think its just silly if anyone takes them seriously, because cleary, as someone once said "They just don't get what the movie's about"

And concerning whats his name, David Estein? (wasn't worth remembering) His review was just asking for all the hate-comments that he got. He could have criticized the movie in a much more respectfull manner, but he wrote it in a way that just (imo) insulted Chris Nolan and his ability to make movies.

Your totally right, you have a very valid point about it!

I'd like for the film to get 100% great reviews, but i dont expect it. only very few filmsget 100% on rotten tomatoes, Wall-e being one of them.

I don't see many people here on SHH taking it to the level of the comments on Rotten Tomatoes, and most are just mildly amused and slightly exasperated at the negative reviews, considering why most of them dislike it.

It's just annoying when the critic goes out of their way to also attack people that like the movie, which a couple are doing. Or when they complain about the lack of Burton in the film. But there's no militism here.

Perfect. Couldn't have said it better. The bad reviewers seem to know nothing about filmmaking, acting or the movie business for that matter.
What I didn't like was when someone said Heath wasn't good enough at his craft to keep himself from dying or something along those lines. Like the joker killed Heath. But Then that person said Heath was an addict.

People need to grow up and get a life. Sergio Leone had plenty of negative reviews, and now almost all his movies are considered classics, if not masterpieces. Kurosawa was considered "too Western" by many Japanese critics.

Lord knows I've taken the opposite side to many popular movies. I don't even think Iron Man is all that great.

Movies didnt get reviewed back then like they do now though keep in mind.

You are not alone brother. It's so refreshing when I hear someone say that, really shows your down to earth. I'm soo tired of people acting like Iron Man is the Holy Messiah of all super hero movies. Yes, it was a good movie, but imo I felt like it was you're typical summer popcorn flic. Some people go on about how emotionaly deep and complex the movie is, and it just leaves me flabergasted when I hear that. Then I mention Batman Begins to the person, and they act like it doesn't exsist! I have nothing against the movie, I enjoyed it very much, but I just think it's extreamly overrated. I mean there are entertaining movies (Spiderman, Ironman, Etc.) then there are truely inspiring movies...(The Dark Knight) :word:

Iron Man is no messiah but it is the best Marvel film since Spiderman2 thats a fact, I dont think anyone agrees that Ghost Rider, Spiderman 3 or X3 were better than Iron Man.

I know ppl that call Iron Man the PERFECT superhero film.
No way in high heaven or hell is that film "perfect" or as different as the first Spiderman that came before it.
In fact, I'de say its a more mature and edgier version of the first Spiderman.

I was a bit let down by iron man, it was enjoyable but thats it. Downey Jnr was good, but he always is. but the film just felt a little rushed the climax wasa anti climax. I much prefered Hulk.

I liked both Iron Man and Hulk equally, the climax in Hulk was definitly alot better.

I can't say I was let down by Iron Man. I actually thought it looked like garbage from the trailers. It turned out to be better than I expected, but it still wasn't that special. I'm not really into superhero/comic movies, other than Nolan's Batman interpretation. I don't really even care much for the first 2 Spiderman movies.

It really blows me away that critics so universally praised Iron Man. It's a decent popcorn movie, but there's not much substance in it. There's some horrid dialogue and the product placement is obnoxious.

So I'd normally be one of those guys who gets flamed for my opinions on films.

I think reviews that say "The dark knight is way to dark" or "It could only be darker if batman died" compliment the movie. Well at least for me, the whole time I wanted it to dark, so when people say they don't like it because it is dark is good to me

(btw, I wouldnt want batman to die though, that would be bad)

Every movie has negative reviews, even the departed has a similar Tomatometer score. Who are these *******s insulting(racist, misogynistic comments) about critics for not liking(even not loving) the movie. Some people viciously insulted critics for liking it, and not loving it.

It's honestly pathetic.

Not everyone is going to like the movie, not every critic, not every theater goer, not every fan.

And these people insulting haven't even seen the movie yet.

Whether you like it or not!
Whether the movie is good or not!
It will always end up about the same previous box office receipt
Will smith has it fans because they like him in whatever role he plays (Hey! “He’s still young and looks cool for the time being”)
So I knew Hancock was gonna be successful
At the same time! Why would the incredible hulk be much more successful than the “hulk”?
I don’t really think so!
The hulk has its fans base and it will be obviously the same public who’d want to spend money to see that type of movie unless the same cast returns for a second film to acquire new fans
But instead they just created resentment for the second movie.
So the only way is to make very low budget hulk movie “to make a fair profit”
Ha ha ha !

If TDK is lucky it will probably make around 121 millions domestic for the first week end.
And even luckier A whopping 621 millions worldwide to wrap it up.
And that will be only because people would want to see Keith ledger one last time performance
Otherwise it will be around the same usual box-office money for a Batman movie which is around 380 millions worldwide.

The way the guy presents himself in this article almost made me feel sorry for him that he got hit with all these threats, but then he said this:

Two-Face’s coin flips a pale echo of Javier Bardem’s in No Country for Old Men

What a buffoon. If he had done the research, hell, if he had even seen "Batman Forever", he'd have known that Two-Face was flipping his coin long before Anton Chigurh was thought up.

Everyone has the right to speak their mind because of the First Amendment. However there will always be people out there that forget we have that Amendment. So when something is stated that doesn't float their boat they will attack. It's human nature. Now that the internet can allow someone to speak without really knowing who they are will say whatever they like. Internet tough guys. I read what critics say but I will see the movie if I so desire to. It's just pathetic that people will attack someone for their thoughts on a movie. Hey, it happens all the time and not just for movies. I'm a huge X-Men fan and after all that was said after X-Men: The last Stand came out than I would have to attack a lot of people but it's water over the bridge or under...whatever that expression is.

Bottom line is: Stupid people shouldn't breed!
