Who Else thinks that Doomsday and Supes teaming up killed Doomsday?

Back to Doomsday for a minute...The last time i read anything w/Doomsday (other than Superman/Batman vol.2 & infinite crisis) was the three book series, "Hunter/Prey". AT the end they banished Dooms to the end of time where he could escape...How'd he get out & what happened there b/c I thought it was a fitting end to this character.
