Who IS Red Robin? A non-burger mystery.

You just can't bring up Robin without having Octo-Todd cannibalize the convo.

I just re-read the arc that it happened in, and if you actually read it instead of gushing over how stupid it is, it actually makes some bit of sense. He got 'eaten' by Jakob, who spit him out into the egg thing, and while he was in it he was constantly injesting the random monster/alien/meta's fluids, so when he burst out it was for a short while bonded with him.

It's a valid reason/action/deus ex, much more than what people make it out to be.
You know, I really just feel like you're not listening. It doesn't matter how justified and explained it is, it's completely unnecessary, out of left field, and stupid. There was no need to do that. It doesn't advance the story or the character in any way. And it's stupid.

Yeah, even in the context of the story, it was irrelevant.

Uh, actually if Octo-todd didn't come around it's a pretty sure safe bet that both Nightwing and Cheynne would be dead by the hands of the two brothers...so in that respect it did further the story and such.

The only reason Octo-Todd is necessary is because the story was WRITTEN THAT WAY! If the story demands Octo-Todd, then the story is ****ing dumb.

well with any luck red robin will kill or replace todd, and you guys can point and laugh.

Eh, a Kingdom Come throwback isn't much better than the Robin nobody wanted to me.

My name's WompuM. You can call me Wompy Womperson, and I like Jason Todd. I like Kingdom Come, and I like Superman-22 on the JSA. I don't like Octo-Todd. I don't like Countdown, but I do like the idea of Jason as the Red Robin. Yyyyyyyyyyyyyyum.

But what if he is? A more mature, less... well, ******ed Jason. Maybe that's why he interfered with Jason in the last issue of Robin--he was trying to keep his younger self from making damaging mistakes. Maybe.

Are you talking a time traveling Jason. The Jason Todd from 1985? or was he dead then already?

Maybe it's a time displaced Damien from issue 666?

I think the speculation on this question has officially run its course. We just can't take it much farther. Let's for once let a thread die with dignity.

Red Robin is Spider-Man's Aunt May. OMD was secretly the beginning of a merger between Marvel and DC. You heard it here first.

yeah the writer said that red robin believes bruce wayne is alive and it's his mission to find him.

Yep. Which, of course, means that whoever Red Robin is, he's smarter than the rest of the dopes in the DC universe.
