WandaVision Who is the "Luke Skywalker" level cameo in the season finale?

What are the chances of getting Peter Fonda as Mephisto from the Sony Ghost Rider movies? That would be more multiverse shenanigans.

For this Universe LS level would be Tony, or Cap. If you're continuing to pull from the Fox-verse then you're talking Magneto, Wolverine, Cyclops, Prof X, Deadpool. Just to be at that level though they have to be already established in a property.

More likely it's Cap Marvel or Dr S. being pushed as LS level, and while they're big names in the MCU they're not OG MCU or Fox-verse big names.

There is no "Luke Skywalker level cameo". The only thing Olsen said was "yes" in response to a weirdly phrased question about cool cameos that hadn't been leaked yet. The rest is clickbait headlines. She herself never even mentioned Mandalorian / Luke or said that it was anything big. Just that she "was excited" which TVline interpreted as "excited for viewers to see what (or who) is coming". That's just fitting a quote into their crafted narrative.

We have Quicksilver, which hadn't been widely leaked when she was asked the question. Maybe there are more, but this "Luke Skywalker level" stuff is really just clickbait nonsense from shady journalists.

If she wasn't talking about Peters, I'd say she's probably talking about Aaron Taylor-Johnson coming back for some type of cameo. Doctor Strange wouldn't shock anyone at this point.

As for Bettany, I'm not sure. Patrick Stewart? Maybe.

Having read leaks on Reddit, which from the sound of it, stand a good chance at being correct since they have been so far. it doesn't sound to me like its in the same vein as the Luke Skywalker cameo. i think they may have given off the wrong impression a little. it will certainly surprise but i think everyone is expecting this big hero moment for someone to turn up... and it doesn't really sound like that is what this is.

we‘re almost in the middle of this series (the first mcu series) and you‘re not expecting a big surprise in the end? In a franchise that now has over 50 significant over 10 years established characters?
the finale will blow all our minds

My best guess is it's Dr. Strange fighting Vision while Wanda fights witches, and Strange or all of them get sucked into the multiverse at the end, curtain closes. "Vision and The Scarlet Witch will return in Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness"

Oh there will be a surprise. i ain't sure its quite the surprise people were expecting.

It does very much sound like the intention for this show is to show how low Wanda can stoop by the end of the show. and less about cool superhero cameos.

My theory is that Mephisto drags Wanda or the twins to hell. DS2 is then some kind of Triumph and Tornment with Doctor Strange and Wanda or Wiccan trying to save the person dragged to hell

Can you DM me the leaked/rumored cameo but include 2 other plausible ones just so I don't get completely spoiled? lol

There‘s still that actor, with whom Paul Bettany always wanted to work with...

Paul Bettany did The Vinci Code with Ian McKellen

After today's episode I'm convinced that it is whoever Monica's "friend" is. They teased him for 2 straight episodes. They wouldn't do that if it wasn't someone big. I'm going out on limb and saying it's John Krasinski as Reed Richards.

No way they are introducing Reed Richards here.

Agreed. The interviewer is the one that actually used the words “Luke Skywalker type cameo”

Fans should keep expectations in check. Part of what made that Mando cameo great was no one was expecting it.

Would be hilarious if it does end up being John Krasinski as Reed meeting Monica and Agent Woo. Then you’d have both Jim’s from The Office reuniting

Is it someone we already know or someone new? I would say Dr. Strange.

that would be something people expecting for 2 years now - so no

Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Reynolds as Deadpool, or Charlie Cox as Daredevil

I feel like putting that out there was a bad idea and it just sets the viewers up for disappointment if it doesn't meet their expectations.

The beauty of the Luke Skywalker cameo is that while we had speculation and predictions of a big name showing up at the end based on the setup, we didn't have a firm grasp on who it would be or who would show up. Organically, Luke Skywalker appearing made sense noting the timeline of the show, but how the show pulled it off was a surprise due to Mark Hamill's advanced age.

Granted, the whole LUKE SKYWALKER thing was a clickbait tactic by TV Line, I sort of wish Elizabeth Olsen didn't play it up.
