Because he's not Wolverine.

Honestly, it's difficult to explain. I guess he's just always appealed to that part of me that wishes I was a leader (which I'm not), even though he's often been on the receiving end of bad stories.

I sure we get more Cyclops in the future......I'm tired of hearing people(kids and other people) saying Wolverine is the leader of the X-men.

I used to never care for Cyclops too much(as a kid, I loved Wolverine ) but now everytime I look at him I just think cool in my head.

I absolutely love Magneto. He's got the best motivation of any villain out there. With most villains, it's a little fickle that they have the obsessions they have. With Magneto, it's easily understandable that he would do the things he does.

His power is pretty cool. I admit that as a kid i used to think he was a dork but now i've come to appreciate him a more. As the leader of some of the most powerful, well trained and dangerous mutants he can't afford to do Wolverine like things and say "screw you guys, i'm gonna do what i want". He has to be responsible and levelheaded.

Nightcrawler, Wolverine (yes, he's overused and overrated, but i still like him), Gambit, Rogue, Kitty, and Cable. no particular order. though i do see understand what you guys see in Cyclops, he's grown on me recently but I wouldn't call him a favorite.
