Who prefers the first movie?

The board is more split about this than i expected

I feel rise of the silver surfer is a better film.

saying that if we compare the stories to their comic book counter parts rise of the silver surfer is also more dissapointing as a whole story while in the first film the only things really dissapointing was how poor doom was.

It just depends on your angle and watch you are judging the films by

The fist one realy Sucked.:down
I Agree with you.

?

Was that a change. I don't mind spoilers. I thought that Galactacus gave him power. Basicly what makes him silver. I didn't think it was tied to hos board.

Yes its a change, and a diabolical one IMO, basically in the movie version, if he leaves his board he get's his ass kicked. They should have just left Galactus as his power source.

No thanks to either the 2005 or 2007 versions of the Fantastic Four.

Is it possible that someone can actually enjoy the 1994 B-movie in which hilarity ensues over the two recent additions. I sure think so...cause I do.

Didn't care for the first film, found the second film to be a little better.

I hate them both. I dont know if they are meant to be as bad as they are?? How "good" were the comics?

Batmans Spirit....

Move on....

I don't "prefer" either. They're both failures. Neither one interpreted the comics well, and the only things that carried over were the elements that hinder comics as a whole from being adapted in the first place.

That's interesting.....like what?

I definitely prefer the second film. I've not seen the first film in a while, because I heavily disliked it, but I do wonder if it'll improve now that I view it from the context of Doom not being Doom, but rather the depiction of his origin as seen in the comics (a full-length update of the scar storyline as it were).

That's hard to say. I liked the 1st movie because you saw more FF. The interaction between the 4, the ending, was head and shoulders above the 2nd. The Thing was allmost nonexistant in the 2nd. The sets, and the dialog were far superior in the 2nd. So it's a real mixed bag, but if you held a gun to my head and said choose, it would be the 1st one.

I liked 1&2 but mostly number 2 because of silver surfer. I think ff adaptation was a succes except for Dr.Doom. I don't understand why some people think it needs to be more serious. Its not all comics movie that has to be serious!
