Age of Extinction Who should be the leader of the Decepticons in TF2?

No Galvatron, yet. we barely got Megatron.

Exactly, if and IF Megatron does get revived, I want him to keep his name as Megatron. The only difference this time around should be getting an earth alt.mode. I like Galvatron, but I don't think he has a place in this continuity. Like I said, I hope Shockwave shows up, as a temporary leader with the intentions of bring Megatron back, and Starscream opposes this, they can even duke it out.

You could have it that Megatron was so badly damaged that he is forced to take on a earth alt mode. Making him severely less powerful then before, encouraging starscream and shock wave to lead a coup.

Imo, Megs looked more Galvatron'-ish than he did Megatron-ish in TF1.

Never really been a Shockwave fan myself, although i agree that it would be cool to see him in the sequel. So i think it's safe to assume that, just like in the cartoon, Shockwave in the one TF that should keep his Cybertronian mode indefinately.....?

I just hope they keep a lot of Shockwave's characteristics and looks intact if they do choose to have him in TF2. He needs to have atleast some purple in his colour scheme, a single eye/viewer, and one of his hands replaced with a weapon.

I don't know, I'd say we saw a little teensy-weensy bit of personality squeezed out of Barricade. He's obviously got a sadistic intimidation fetish.

I'm sure the problem with lack of character for Decepticons will be fixed for the next movie, its just a matter of how much.

Starscream returns to Cybertron and recruits more Decepticons and brings them back to Earth to destroy the Autobots. More Autobots arrive after hearing Optimus's transmission.( At the end of Transformers) Then when Starscream thinks he has been defeated Megatron comes in. And Starscream basically ****s on himself...

Starscream has a big ego he'll believe that Megatron failed to destroy the Autobots. In the cartoon Starscream always believed the only way to destory the Autobots is Planning and Speed, while Megatron believed in mindless destrution. Michael Bay will find a way for Starscream to return...

Well now that you enlightened me about why Starscream would come back. I can see him going to cybertron claiming the Autobots massacred the rest of the decpticons and he takes on being the new leader and wants to lead an assault back. Meanwhile on earth Soundwave and whatever left decepticons that are still around are recovering Megatron and reviving him.

I would say an alien tank.

One interesting idea that others have proposed would be to have Shockwave turn into an alien jet that resembles a gun. Imagine his original gun mode with wings.

IMO a unit of Decepticons should bring back Megs but Starscream should also have a few that follow him. 3 WAY DANCE BABY!!!

I think that it would either be Megatron or Galvatron in TF2. But I think that the story behind Megatron becoming Galvatron might be a bit much, because they'd have to introduce Unicron, which I think is okay but I think that shouldn't give too much away about him. Most likely to keep the story simple and a little more realistic, if Megatron were to turn into Galvatron then he would have to undergo some type of power changing mechanism that would also be weird because he changed his name. Wouldn't make sense unless they follow his true storyline which may also be a bit weird/unrealistic. Therefore Galvatron may be a whole new character altogether, leading the Decepticons against the Autobots because they "killed" Megatron. I've thought of a story where Galvatron helped Optimus and Megatron rule Cybertron, but he left before the planet's civil war on a mission (perhaps to seek Unicron and try to destroy him). Galvatron comes back and finds out his home is destroyed slowly being rebuilt and that the known survivors are onboard the Ark (Autobots) and the Nemesis (Decepticons) correct me if I have that wrong. They are searching for their allies. Galvatron comes into contact with the Nemesis and finds the Decepticons on Earth who are infromed that Megatron was "betrayed" by Optimus. Galvatron then leads the Decepticons. Something along those lines would fit nicely.

I think the "Allspark" being shoved into him will upgrade Megs into Galvatron nothing to do with Unicron. If there is a God Starscream will claim leadership for himself in an underhanded way at least once

That's true, but he was there when Sam plunged the allspark into Megatron's chest, so he saw what happened and maybe he'll come back for Megatron's remains in an effort to salvage the allspark. And I'm sure he'll draw Unicron to Earth in one way or another.
