Spidey to harrass Osborn into lashing out and giving the general public a glimpse of the insanity and psychosis that drives him (on Stark's suggestion), justifying Avenger action against Norman where the whole team looks to take down Osborn, Bullseye and a rapidly crumbling Thunderbolts crew (Bullseye goes Bat***** thrilled at the thought of getting to take on some of these names).

Avengers cut through the Thunderbolts mob, but not too easily, Norman joins the melee himself. Hawkeye shoots Osborn. Discussion between the victorious heroes. Osborn makes another move only for Spidey to web his feet, causing Norman to land on the protruding arrow, driving it in further.

Spidey then expresses the desire to take Norman to hospital, Hawkeye raises the point that perhaps he's not suited to the Avengers. Pete shows his short temper and boy-scoutishness again with a comment along the lines of "If leaving people to die is what it takes to be an Avenger, then I agree.", Stark assures Spidey that he'll make sure that Osborn gets proper care and that it'll cause less harm than web-swinging him to a hospital. This calms him down a little but the thought is already out there.

I hope it's Spidey. I like to think that no matter how big Osborn makes it, it will come right down to Spider-Man vs Green Goblin.

Spiderman can take him down physically. The Sentry/Void can betray him and destroy his kingdom, his building, everything with his sheer power. :word:

Didn't Doom and Namor make a deal to wait Osborn out, and wait for him to collapse? And then, at that point, the two would begin their plans to conquer the land and seas, respectively? I could see something about that coming out near the end.
I just want to see Osborn go nuts and the Doom/Namor take advatage of the situation with Doom saying something snarky to Osborn after everything goes wrong for him. Like "Doom knew such a pitful lunatic like you would fail, as is the wiseness of Doom".
The Namor/Doom combo. Two of Marvel's best characters that deserve to kick the crap out of the Green Goblin.
Namor should probabley punch simply for Norman bothering him in the shower.

There is enough Osborn around for everyone to get a beating in though.

I would say Spider-Man leading the Avengers.

He is a Spider-Man villain, but he has been a thorn in the Avengers side lately as well. But I think Spider-Man should lead the charge and do most of the fighting. and give the final blow.

I am actually hoping that Norman Osbourne destroys himself, every so often they show Osborne slip or crack and revert for a second into the Green Goblin.
I am waiting for the full blown break down, where Osborne does himself in because of his own motives and ego and such, and explodes back to the Green Goblin forcing everyone to take him down.
An option should be on the poll for Norman taking himself down.
Sort of setting himself up for failure, sabotaging himself. Not on purpose mind you, but his fall should be his own fault.

Osborn <--> Steve Rogers, no connection whatsoever.

Steve Rogers should save his energy to take down Red Skull & Dr. Doom.

Yeah but when he comes back and seeing the villains in charge, it'd make sense for him to go after the head guy and "show the heroes how it's done".

But than whoever takes down Osborne will automatically be considered a monster for taking down the true hero in the eyes of the general marvel public :p

But seriously, I hope someone gives a really good speech and all the people in the MU realize how stupid they've been. I mean, these heroes do everything they can to protect the people of earth, and than they blindly follow a true villain? I think Cap could make a pretty good speech.

If people are interested they should definitely check out that Dark Reign Legacy of the Goblin book. It mainly has the reprint of Norman finding Spider-Man's identity in ASM # 39 and # 40 but it has present day material in it that is going to make it very interesting for down the road. Thought it was a nice picture of things to come and it actually ran down the whole Green Goblin history and straightened up continuity with Norman Osborn, and kind of, the Spider-Man universe.

Luke actually did beat the @#$% out of him once, in that book that took the place of Alias...can't recall the name.

im starting to see the connection between Cap and osborn...

Well, like Doom and Namor said, it'll just be a matter of time before Norman messes up on his own so we just need to wait for it to happen. Then Cap can destroy what's left.

HAHA
I doubt it. The Citizens of the MU are totally rockheads! If they allow the FF to have their Headquarters smack dab in the middle of *&^%$# downtown Manhattan, which serves as a Lightning rod for every Tom, Dick and Galactus.I doubt they are going to get any smarter.:cwink:

Me personally it will be Steve Rogers to take him down....With help from everyone ...When it is all said and done I think Steve will be the leader of Hammer

Steve leading HAMMER sounds like a stretch. I think Tony and Fury will restore SHIELD(after getting it out of Hydra's clutches).

In that case then it has to be Spidey

But I just had a wonderful thought........Osborne can be brought down by J Jonah Jameson and the Daily Bugle.....with a nudge in the right direction from Spider-man........the pen is mightier
