I understand Iron-Man and Capt. America. Just please not Luke Cage again.

But, I still say it should be Spider-Man. You made Norman epic in Marvel Universe scope. It gives Spider-Man (Marvel's flagship character) a chance to be epic also.

It will be Norman's original obsession with Spider-Man that will boil over again and be his undoing.

Spider-Man's already at the forefront of several of the biggest comics Marvel's publishing right now, both in terms of sales and importance to the central storyline of the Marvel universe right now. I'm not sure how much more epic people want him to be, unless we're talking about focusing all of the attention on him.

After all the crap that's been dumped on Peter Parker lately, he needs a moment. A moment of heroic proportions. A moment to remind people why he is such a hero.

You think ****'s been dumped on Pete? What about Dr. Doom? He's been invaded. Killed. Forced to work for the Green ****ing Goblin? Bowing to his Master?

If any "Flagship Character" should get his day in the sun it's the Flagship Villain.

And we all know it's Victor Von Doom.

Until Bendis stops writing him, he'll never get back to his old status.

Heck not only Doom, but Bendis has Loki, Namor, and Emma Frost all taking orders from Osborn...bleh.

Bah! Spider-Man is more important than DOOM is. You know this.

The 616 is only as great as it's best villain. We all love Spidey... sure. But Doom makes the world go round.

DOOM is a great villian.

You know what, it's BENDIS who needs to be taken down at the end of Dark Reign!! Yes! Only then can DOOM can take his rightful place and the entire planet will bow before him!!

Heh. Well not if Spidey has anything to say about it. But I prefer that confrontation at least. :D

wow. I was just about to post the same thing. Great issue.

Ah, the good ol' days....

I was talking in-universe, 616 as you will, not in terms of comic books.

Doom isn't necessarily evil, though. He's just a narcisistic, selfish, control freak with a messiah complex. Norman is the epitome of evil, however. ;)

Doom is so out of Spiderman's league however, I doubt Doom views him as little more than a menace.

I would prefer a combination of Cap, Thor, Iron Man and Spidey to be the one's who bring down Osborn. With everything that's happened, the heroes need to be united again so that something worse doesn't rise from the ashes.

In all truth, only Cap and Spidey would need help with Osborn.

Chances are, it'll be the Hood who just assassinates him or something.

Nah, Osborn won't die. I figure he'll somehow expose himself as still being crazy to an extent that not even the Marvel ******s populace can overlook and go back to being the Green Goblin and harassing Spider-Man.

Songbird. I think she deserves a shot. Osborn systematically ruined her life too and sicced both Venom and Bullseye on her. She should play a large role in his eventual fall.

I'd rather him NOT fall back to basically being, "I r so crazay, that it can"t be ignured"

Because it sounds like something Bendis would cop out and write. Instead of something, well, you know...creative. I kinda like him in his, "I sorta wanna do good, but screw it, I'm keeping my criminal ties".

Osborn's shown he wants to do good? He still seems pretty straightforwardly villainous in the stuff I've read.

Anyway, I just want Dark Reign to be over. It's pure bias: I never really liked Norman much. I don't like seeing him treated like this super-genius manipulator who has the world at his feet because I still consider him a small-time, street-level villain who shows up to throw some pumpkins at Spider-Man from time to time.

They already had the heroes take down President Lex Luthor. It would just seem like a rip-off of Spider-Man, Iron Man, and Captain America taking him down.

That's why I still want the villains on board. Make you think that if you thought Osborn was bad, thanks to the fact that the heroes are still divided, even after the Skrull invasion, that they have something even worse thrust upon them and it would take them to unite together to save the world.
