Revenge of the Fallen Who will die on the Autobots?

I have nothing substantial for this argument, but I think that Optimus is going to die this film or at least be sacrificed like Han in Empire. Its justa thought but i mean it seriously looks like the Autobots are going to get there collective ass handed to them. Any thoughts? If there is a thread about this go ahead and close or Merge please.

They really are pushing this for a possible Decepticon victory. I could see Optimus dying by sacrificing himself for something than of course being brought back in the 3rd to save the day again.

The only two Autobots I DON'T see dying are Bumblebee and Ironhide.

I think Bay is setting TF2 up to be the ESB of this trilogy, hence the title "Revenge of the Fallen". I think Prime might go down a la Han Solo, and possibly other Autobots except for Bumblebee, Iron Hide, and Arcee. This is so Autobots can claim the final and decisive victory in TF3.

Bay made this film so it wouldn't neccessarily need to continue with a sequel, similar to the first one. So i doubt Optimus prime will die, he may get to the point of death but he of all the autobots will definitley not die. Likewise bumblebee.
I personally think either sideswipe or jetfire will go, or if Bay is nice, Ratchet.

The ones who won't die: Prime ( Please Bay let Prime live), Bumblebee, Ironhide, the twins and Arcee. The rest are cannon fodder. Although I would love Ratchet to live.

Jetfire died (though I think he came back) in his first appearance in G1. They're following G1 by having him switch from Decepticon to Autobot. Perhaps they'll kill him off too

Well in the toon Jetfire crashed landed on Earth millions of years before the Transformers came to Earth much in the same vane as Megatron in the first TF film. Starscream locates him and he and the other Decepticons free him from his icy tomb. Unaware that the Transformers are at civil war he sides with Megatron and seeing as how Megatron is bad he then switched to Prime. I can't recall him dying though.

sounds like a good theory. i go with this one. prime gets down but reappears "repaired" or whatever in the third movie

btw: why not killing off a major human character - could be interesting

Well in the toon Jetfire crashed landed on Earth millions of years before the Transformers came to Earth much in the same vane as Megatron in the first TF film. Starscream locates him and he and the other Decepticons free him from his icy tomb. Unaware that the Transformers are at civil war he sides with Megatron and seeing as how Megatron is bad he then switched to Prime. I can't recall him dying though.

He gets buried back in an icy tomb at the end of the episode.

Hopefully three of the newly introduced Autobots get killed off: Mudflap, Skids, and Jolt. I wouldn't mind Arcee getting the axe as well. Of all the G1 characters, Bay decided to go his own route with characters no one could give two craps about.
Jolt was a Decepticon in G2 of all things.

So many better characters Bay could have gone with, but if in fact these Autobots get killed off, better them instead of the likes of Wheeljack, Prowl etc. Save them for the third and give them the respect they deserve.

AHH indeed he does, but he does get unfrozen again if I remember correctly.

In the movie it looks like he will be freed from that icy tomb they call the smithsonian where he has been sitting as a relic.

I bet he is one of the good guys that die, but in heroic fashion.
