I like Kate - really dug her in Underworld - but I think a lot of people would say that they do not find Hugh, Kate or their involvement in Van Helsing to be a bonus.

I'd vote for someone who is more of an unknown, but it's hard to pick an actress for a character who we know so little about and about whom I have no pre-conception from the comics.

There's a link on IMDB that points to a video on YouTube of Rachel Bilson ("The OC") on the Jimmy Kimmel Show from September 2006 where she apparently said she's going to be in the Wolverine movie. If true, could this be the role?

but Van Helsing sucked big time
Rachel Bilson is too young i prefer someone in their thirties

I'd be really surprised to see Rachel Bilson locked in for a role almost an entire year ahead of when it is likely they will be filming.

Although it worked for Wolverine and Rogue to have such an age disparity, I think it would be too much for viewers to really be comfortable with - and for the producers to try to sell - a Hugh/Rachel pairing.

I was joking about the "Van Helsing" thing, Ted and PhoenixForce But I was making a point that Hugh and Kate know each other, and if Len directed, it'd be very possible to lock her into production, lol. Of course that's only considering if Len ended up directing.

I really don't know much about Kayla. Are Kayla and Silverfox the same person? Or two different characters? If so, then is Kayla a new character (not from the comics)?

well, with the whole story she tells i get the impression she is native american, and sometimes the change names at the last minute so she could well be silverfox, or it could be her code name. peck looks pretty good to me
