My mate loves X-3 to death. He thinks its better than X-2. I was shocked when he said this:

(his exact words) "You like X-2 better than X-3? X-2 only focussed on characters and that wasnt needed. X-3 had action which is what X-men is about".

I dont understand his logic

He's the reason we have these stupid eye candy movies with no substance, He has fallen victim to the biggest flaws of our generations, ppl who are satisfied with a cheap thrill over what could be a work of art and masterpiece, These ppl see at as if there is enough boom and bams and they look cool then it must great. You know, when I watch trailers for these and other movies, I get the impression that as an audience we have finally come of age, matured enough that we can have stories like this brought to life, but in a realistic way. Not just the costumes and props that come to life, but the characters and all their drama. I guess I was wrong, but I doubt FOX would notice. As long as they're racking in a certain amount of profit they'll continue to feel movies like these are great and that it's what the audience wants, so they'll continue to make them.

That's as good an explanation as I could hope for. Thanks, that does make things feel a little better, at least knowing the truth. It may not be pretty, but at least we know it.

This is why I don't refer to it as a trilogy, but 2+1 movies. It's obviously not a trilogy. We got 2 movies and a "what-if" alternate universe. OK guys, very funny, haha now show us the real X3 movie
