I have a question to the guys who would be dropping the book if it's MJ and Carr.

If it is made clear that the marriage is a sham, that it's not love, it's happening for somee otheer reason, would you still drop the book?

good point about the whole Jackpot BS story. so you never know with them.

JJJ Sr. and Aunt may seems most likely and I won't be surprised if thats it, but I like the idea of Betty and Flash.IMO It makes so much sense considering in ASM right now they are the only two characters in a relationship that we know have known each other for more than a year. If it does happen I'll be excited, but if it's JJJ Sr. and Aunt May we've seen this comic since ASM 583 came out and they announced there was going to be a wedding in issue 600.

Aloha,
Taking into consideration that Aunt May's luck with men after Ben Parker has not been the greatest ( Nathan Lubinsky, Doc Ock), I'm hoping she and JJJ Sr. hook up. She deserves a happy life.Of course now, this is a Major shift in the characterization of Aunt May from the days of Ditko. The original Aunt May was at death's door and often hospitalized. After Ditko ,She became much more self sufficient ( living with Anna Watson and then opening a rooming house). So now we have an Aunt May who not only has be brought back from near death, but possibly as a result of Mr. Li's touch, has been greatly rejuvenated.Where are the Fan Boy cries of FOUL?:cwink:

Just a question. I have not bought a single issue of BND, so this may seem slow, but if we are to assume that "everything happened like it did but the marriage," then why did Harry, after magically coming back from the dead, not return to Liz Osborn, the mother of his child? Well?

Because I'm lazy, heres the wiki summary.....

Harry's death was faked by Mysterio and his father Norman Osborn, who spirited his son away to Europe where he was held prisoner in several "rehab" clinics. The reason given was Norman's belief that his son had relapsed into drug addiction, due to his brief return to wearing the Green Goblin costume.

At some point, in the altered timeline, Harry was let go from rehab and reunited with his friends. However, due to his time imprisoned by his father as well as Peter's deal with Mephisto, Harry no longer remembers that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. His marriage to Liz Allan also disintegrated, leading to the two divorcing and Harry responding to his break-up by engaging in a string of relationships with other women, of which several of them ended with Harry marrying and divorcing them in rapid fashion. .

I am actually contemplating picking up issue #600, for the record, but I will be one of those further angered readers if MJ gets married to ANYONE else. Now, a wedding that is interrupted, results in the death of her groom-to-be, or ends with MJ not marrying the guy, that's okay by me. Her saying "I do" and then divorcing or being a widow would just age her too much and make her a less viable character (suck on that).

Personally, I'm betting on it being two people who are of absolutely NO consequence to anyone in the entire Marvel Universe....that doesn't mean it'll be a bad issue, just that it will be unimportant in the scale of the Spider-verse.

I'd say most of the people that would do this have already dropped the book. If someone could make it though OMD and keep buying, I don't think there's anything in ASM that could turn them off the path. I'm sure there are a few people in this category, but not too many. MJ marrying couldn't matter less in either case at least to me.

Really, if it's MJ that gets married it kind of contradict things some of the people involved with Spidey at the moment have said in interviews when they explained why they think Peter and MJ shouldn't be married. I remember that someone (can't remember if it was Quesada or any of the writers) said something about being married was "out of character" for Peter and perhaps especially M.J. since she was supposed to be this "party girl".

Well, not that I really care, but I just find it hilarious if they decided to marry MJ to someone else, in which case it really would be like they want to drive the final nail in the coffin for those hoping for a Peter/MJ-reunion anytime soon. Hilarious because they would do what they accused other writers to do, to write her "out of character".

It would be a permanent resolution for the marriage. As like Ben Reilly's death for the Clone problem.
I think it will be JJJ Sr. and Aunt May, though. Think about Amazing #200 and 400 and now the 600. Every one from Aunt May. :)
