Why are so many women getting tattoos?

How do you feel about women with tattoos?

  • Look sexy/hot!

  • Some/most look nice

  • Don't care either way

  • Leaning towards "whateva"/not liking the fad

  • Think pretty disgusting/trashy

After SentinelMind see's those pictures, he wont be able to stand up because he wont be able to hide his sin.

Some of these women have far too many tattoos for my taste, and just no to nose and lip rings.

Believing in God doesn't give one holier-than-thou carte blanche. I would genuinely like to know why SentinelMind believes he's on such a moral pedestal that he can look down on others and judge them. Well... I judge you, sir. I judge YOU!!

Do you know what happens to SentinelMinds when they start terrible threads? The same thing that happens to everyone else. They get mocked!

I had forgotten about that line until just now, JJJ. We are now archenemies.

As soon as you wrinkle, tattoos start to look even worse. Ever seen an old woman with a tat? Not pretty.:p

Meh........at 65-75.....I think the way your tattoo looks isn't a top priority to you. Getting in free to movies is :D

I hope SentinelMind meets the girl of his dreams. Like his perfect match. He can't live without her. And the first time he takes her shirt off all he sees are solid sleeves of tattoos.

JJJ you truly have it out for SentinelMind lol.....anyone think him and braincrusher are one in the same? Maybe brothers? One shivers at the thought.......

No. braincrusher was interesting.

And I don't have it out for him. I'm just bored and having fun. It was a dumb thread so it deserved the "treatment."

Thats why I tried to lighten it up a bit with some beautiful women :)

You and I together are making this thread bearable :highfive:

I like women with tattoos including sleeves although I'm not into facial tattoos.

Facial tattoos are hard to tolerate even if you enjoy tattoos

I think it's rather funny that Sentinel complains about tattoos being masculine but the inked women in this thread have tattoos of flowers, clouds, doves, stars, butterflies, angels, etc. Not exactly the height of masculinity.

Eh, your arms are going to be wrinkly and ugly when you're old anyway, tat or no tat.

If those flowers had biceps it'd be a different story. Or a butterfly with a 6 pack and handle bar mustache

Eurasians have been practising tattooing sine neolithic times. Otzi the iceman who was dated from ebing around 4th millennium BC and found in the alps 57 carbon tattoos consisting of simple dots and lines on his lower spine, behind his left knee, and on his right ankle. These tattoos were thought to be a form of healing because of their placement, which resembles accupuncture.

They have also found tattooed people in ancient egypt and the picts (ancestors to the scottish) were famously covered in black or dark blue tattoos.

Polynesian cultures have been tattooing for centuries to mark milestone between childhood and adulthood, as well as accompany rites and rituals.

Explorer James Cook brought back to Europe where it took off.

To say its a sign of some sort of moral decline in society is ridiculous seeing as its one of the oldest human art forms known to man.

To say its a simply a sign of rebelllion is disrespecting numerous cultures traditions and is ignorant.

I'm not even going to go in on the misogynistic stuff. If a women wants a tattoo thats her business. Women don't exist just as something pretty for us men to look at.

Yeah,
Because at 80 years old
those parts of their bodies would be absolutely beautiful if there weren't a tattoo there.:whatever:

You'd really let a little ink stop you from pursuing a girl you were interested in? If I picked up a girl and discovered that she had a penis, do you think I'd let that stop me? I DON'T THINK SO!!! :whatever:

Come on, guy... :o

Exactly...screw those nose/lip rings...none of those women would look any worse without the tattoos...finding slim, nice figure women...throwing ink on them...and using that to justify tattoos is so silly argument.

talk about 40-50 year old women...the tats would make her look worse. Some 40-50 can look great in more modest clothing and style...when they try to look all rebellious and young with tats..its ridiculous.

Which is the better picture? This is what this thread should be filled with. Comparison of same woman with and without tattoos. Which would you date and which would you run away from?

Workplace tattoo policies vary among and within industries. But with many contemporary companies stressing commitments to diversity and inclusion, tattoos are becoming increasingly unproblematic across the board. Lax tattoo policies for blue-collar and art-related jobs aren’t shocking, but the increasingly tolerant outlook of frontrunners in corporate, educational and medical industries are more surprising.

Mayo Clinic Spokesman Bryan Anderson stated, “Mayo Clinic has long recognized the importance of presenting a professional image to our patients. Under our policy, employees are asked to cover tattoos or other body art.”

Workplace concealment policies vary, but having a tattoo in 2013 certainly doesn’t ruin one’s chance at having a successful career. Still, a 2011 study by CareerBuilder shows that 31% of surveyed employers ranked “having a visible tattoo” as the top personal attribute that would dissuade them from promoting an employee. So although companies across many fields are increasingly focused on diversity and inclusion, tattoo flaunting is still probably best reserved for post-work hours.

Funny, I just saw on the news the other day how an employer offered his workers a 15% raise if they were to get the company logo tatooed on them, and quite a few agreed to it.
