Plastic Man is more interesting than the Question

On Geoff Johns' IMDb page he's listed in the "In Development" sections for "The Flash," "Shazam," and "Metal Men"
I was aware of The Flash. Anyone know anything about Shazam or Metal Men getting movies? I know Shazam got canceled a little while back but are there new rumblings?
Hawkman is just continuity mess. Plus, his only real general audience exposure was that series of commercials where he was basically ******ed. I forget the product that was advertised...
Pretty much why I suggested Hawkworld. It takes place completely on Thanagar and is deep sci-fi stuff. You can pretty much take everything you know about Hawkman, throw it out of the window and prepare to be entertained. The book has tons of political overtones, corruption and is downright gritty. I remember reading this book backin the late 80s and it has always stuck with me. It is pretty much the only Hawkman story I have ever truly enjoyed.
The idea of a Hawkman movie happening within this story is super attractive, mainly because it does not have to interact with the rest of the DC film continuity at all. It can just stand on its own.
For those who have not read this 3 book miniseries I highly recommend picking it up.
Hawkworld is currently out of print. Some online retailers have it, but it's pricy.picking it up where?? I buy my trades from various places and have never seen it on any shelf
BTW, they shouldn't make Geoff Johns as chair of the movie project. Hire someone else not busy with the comic writing/editorials.

What about Metal Men? Anything on that?It was cancelled then Geoff Johns was announced last year as producer for the new 'take' on the film.

Good book...the problem being that it is basically out of continuity at this point. The current story of Hawkman (if I recall) actually says that the Hawkman from Thanagar was a spy...and the true Hawkman is an earthling.
REBOOT! I say the reincarnation of a pharaoh cursed to eternally fall in love with his wife, meanwhile he's a hero. Before facing the villain he meets her, impending DOOOOOOM! Then have the comics reflect the pharaoh storyline. It's not like anybody will sorely miss the current Hawkman in comics.yeah, but in this case it's a major factor...
Either Hawkman is the reincarnated spirit of an Egyptian pharoah eternally in love with his wife and righting wrongs...or he is an alien from another galaxy that was exiled for going against the system. I mean...those two characters are so different that it makes no sense to promote one in a major film and then have the other in comics.

Personally I like the alien angle. A crossover would most likely not be in the mix but if they did decide to go that route Green Lantern would be a great vehicle for it if they went that way.
In any case, Hawkman is a B list character so what they decide to promote is on little consequence. The effectively fused both ideas in the Justice League cartoon so it is doable with an imaginative writer.
Iron Man was a B list character as well.
