Did he ever say? In the comics, the Hulk is huge, but within human possibilities. In the film, he's about 20 ft tall.

The thing is, so few of Hulk's scenes are with real actors that it makes little difference.

He's been as huge in the comics.

I loved the size he was in the movie, the way he was man handling the tanks and helicopters, his size suited that IMO.

Because Ang Lee is as queer as a three dollar bill, he did make Brokeback Mountain.
He's want's a big boy.

Wow, what a mature response, lol.

Ang was going for something of a King Kong vibe - that's why Hulk was so big.

Ang Lee didn't think the audience would figure out "the madder he gets, the stonger he gets" so they had to make him grow to show it.

15 feet.;)

Hulk and Juggs both seem to have grown over the years havent they?

i don't know why he made him so big.lets just call it Ang lee's organic webshooters... The size isn't an issue to me though. i always thought the hulk rapidly growing into a giant like that was what he always does. i mean come on... It's comic logic. whatever mutant magic stuff in his cells always him to rapidly change size is just the same here only on a larger scale. Realistically it's all comic fantasy bs so it's fine to me... maybe shorten him some in the next movie though if it's really important that he not get too huge. I understand that we don't want a stay puft marshmallow hulk doing some godzilla junk in future films...

I think it's important the Hulk is a huge man rather than a giant.

I thought the Hulk was too big especially in that scene where he's standing in front of Betty after beating the Hulk dogs. He should be half that size at least.

I think the hulk was as big as he needed to be for all scenes except for perhaps his first meeting with his father and then his meeting with betty. I can however understand why he is the size he is at with betty because talbot's men pissed him off causing him to grow more.

i loved the whole, angrier/bigger concept.

he was also big enough to do the damage he did and for it to come off realistic...

i enjoyed his movie proportions a lot.

basically all the times he seems bigger than the humans around him, he's been agitated causing for his size to grow.

i do admit though he should have been smaller for his first meeting with his dad, although saying that, he probably wouldn't have been blown away by it all, so the size difference used there was for impact and impact alone...

Since he grows larger as he gets more angry in the movie, what's the stopping point? Could he grow to 30 ft if he got super pissed? I do agree he was a little too big, but I would not have wanted a bodybuilder painted green either. Even though there are some damn big bodybuilders these days.

For 95% of the time, he hasn't.

In Hulk(2203) he got REALLY angry, not just mad. The angrier Hulk gets, the bigger he grows.

No, in that scene he is 12' tall so half that would be 6' - way too short for the Hulk. In the movie he was first 9' (the max height he shold ever be!), then 12', and finally 15' which is WAYYYYYtoo big! The size he was when his dad saw him the first time was perfect. That should be the size he is in the sequel - thru the whole film! And he should still be able to do all the damage at that size as he did at 15' because - HULK IS THE STRONGEST ONE THERE IS!!

The question is ,why did Ang lee make a superhero movie?

He's either:

A) A fan of Hulk
or
B) Wanted to make any super hero movie

I wouldn't call the hulk film a superhero as such, more like a drama around someone who gained super powers...

if you see the dvd, it shows you a schematic that there is an upper limit of growth, pretty much just like there is an upper limit on how angry someone can get.

I used to read the Hulk comics all the time, and when the movie came out I didn't even think about his size being innapropriate. I wouldn't mind if they made him smaller, but I didn't think he was that huge.
