The one thing I have to point out that CyclopsWasRight might have been referring to in his first post is that some of us are sick of people who complaint too much. Debating anything is always good and as you said, it makes everyone smarter. Always good to hear another person's point of view, especially when it comes to literature and film, people can make you see things in a different light or help you catch things you might have missed the first time.
Personally, I don't like when the same person or people stay in a thread for a long period of time just to shut down other's positivity. The door swings both ways of course, we all know that the larger group are the positive fans that try to shut down those with negative opinions but there's a point where some negativity goes too far to where(and I've called a few people out on this)some fans act like the director or the movie itself slept with their mom. As annoying as overly positive fans can be at times, I think in a lot of cases, dare I say most, positivity trumps negativity in life and it's just a downer to see this or that poster just slam a film over and over and over again. At least the ones who don't have much constructive criticism.
