Go back and read the first post the info is 100% correct. Wolverine easily fought the HUlk and Wendigo in his first appearance.

No. X-fans are genetically incapable of not buying something with Wolverine in it. 99% of Marvel's sales, in fact, come from the X-fans' irresistible desire to own any and everything even remotely related to Wolverine.

In his first appearance Wolverines Power was not explicit. The only concrete indication of his ability was displayed in the fight.

Beyond that its comics so what justification is requiered?

Which just goes back to what I've been saying; other people get upgrades since their inception, Logan gets a downgrade and still manages to be insanely popular and people talk as if he's been written off the charts from his original parameters. This guy started off facing down two of Marvel's heaviest non-cosmic hitters. Now? He gets beat by people that shouldn't stand a chance in Hell.

This rabid dislike has no base in logic.

No offense but I saw the first hulk / wolverine fight guest starring Wendigo as him being tossed into it by a desperate Canadian Government who at that time didn't have much in the way of superheroes.
He spent a lot of that issue getting smacked around.

When he fought Wendigo in the xmen books it was more credible because to be brutal Wendingo is not half the Monster the Hulk is.

The ONLY things I like about Logan in his current incarnation is his upgrade from heal fast to true regeneration, and his apparent age clearing a century while not looking over 35.

Everything else about him is subject to change depending on a combination of writer, fan-boy manip, and societies current "cool factor".

Actually I got that from reading the issue.

Wolverine toys with both foes and is eventually knocked unconcious by a lucky blow.

In the issue he shows above human speed strength and incredible tactical skills. Not to mention he was a bit of a wisecracker

I'll give proper respect to Wolverine to say that he can survive for awhile against the hulk only because he's more agile.

He's fighting a being that can give both Thor and the Silver Surfer pause.

Someone who's glancing blow knocked him out.

Someone who in his current run is definetly surviving where logan could not.

Consider,... The Hulks Healing factor is close to instataneous,.... yet where he is now,.. he's still carrying the burns he recieved weeks before. Wolverine with Adamantium couldn't hack this place.

I'm not a Hulk fan,.... but c'mon,.... Logan vs Banner?
I'm keeping this to the original fight as much as possible because later he gets owned after trying to rip the heart out of the Hulk in his grey form.

Wolverine has always been my fave X-Man, and one of my fave charachters

All the over exposing, (blah, blah, all the points everyone stated b4,) are true. All of this has helped Wolvie even got on my nerves from time to time.

One thing that has always driven me nuts, (and this is even true of the late 80's-90's) is the fact of how little writers make him interact with other charachters on page. All of his feelings, emotions, and actions regarding his team mates tend to happen off panel. Even in the old X-Men stories, there would be Wolverine heavy issues, as opposed to interaction with the rest of the team.

I want to see him be a part of a full discussion, working as a team member. Even if he's trying to be the loner, I wabt to see the rest of the team talking to him about being an annoying loner!

I think interaction is the thing for me, as soon as Wolvie appears in a comic, either it revolves around him full stop, or he's a sideline charachter used for effect or sales

I think he's overexposed as in putting him on the cover just to sell comics when he's not involved with what's going on inside the pages. I've never said he was exaggerated either, that's been all you and with no real factual evidence.
