Why does the JLA style itself the Justice League Of AMERICA?

While I appreciate Fabiens humour (it's funny, don't get me wrong)
It just can't hold a candle to good ol' Joe Kelly.
The '97 Deadpool series is my favorite comic, EVER.
It was just plain brilliant. You really should pick up some back issues if you can find any...

Yeah, this book isn't very political so I don't think that any subtext should be forced into it just because it has "America" in the title. That's how the series began, and the team functions mainly in America. A better way to read it would be to look at it as the Justice League that is based/active in America.
