I know this is a crude way of doing it, but let's look at the RottenTomato scores of the movies he has written:

Inspector Gadget - 22%
Behind Enemy Lines - 36%
Suspect Zero - 17%
Elektra - 10%
X-Men: The Last Stand - 57%
The Grand - 39%
The Incredible Hulk - 66% (Bear in mind Edward Norton did a complete overhaul of the script)

This guy is terrible. His resume is littered with movies that either A) suck, or B) were salvaged by another, more competent writer (X-Men 2).

It just boggles my mind how he keeps getting work. And for the love of God, stop giving this man superhero properties.

I cant believe there giving him the AVENGERS!!!!!!!! the script better get some rewrites

Extensive rewrites the man is sub par at best when it comes to writing. I still think Favreau and his team should be the ones in control when it comes to "The Avengers".

"Iron Man" along with its crew is kind of the pioneer when it comes to setting them up to begin with. Why not let the man who allowed this to employ his efforts.

he's a sick man. SICK man that creature..that foul beast. That..Zak Penn.

Preaching to the choir, man...

I thoroughly approve of this thread , will never forgive him for his part in X3!

And he's doing the Avengers. Hopefully RBJ or Norton look at the script and say it's **** and make Marvel hire other writers.

His movies must perform decently at the BO. That's all I can figure.

Damn I knew Norton basically redid most of TIH, so his signing on ass scribe for Avengers did worry me a little
but I didnt know Penn had that many bad/subpar films under his belt
That definetly makes me more nervous about him writing Avengers

Nothing salvaged it, that was also terrible.

I think his work on X3 disappointed me the most.

Does Zak have incriminating photos of the head honcho of Marvel Studio or something? Why give this incompetent writer THE AVENGERS? :cmad:

This guy has no business being on the same block as Marvel Studios let alone writing one of their movies.

It makes you wonder why Marvel would trust a potentially huge movie with such a hack. Seriously, no better writers were available? I'm starting to lean towards the blackmail idea now. :hehe:
