I'm curious to know why BvS board is PACKED , ppl doing fan art, tons of replies...

But Star Wars Ep.7 , which is the most anticipated movie of the year never really gets to much replies / attention.

You'd think that the same people who love comic book characters would have a love for Star Wars, like myself, but it seems Batman is the main event on SHH...

Anyone else ever notice that ???

I guess there's a reason it's not called StarWarsHype.

There's nothing to discuss except what's leaked. Since the EU has been tossed, there's no source material upon which to pontificate and adjudicate.

I'll care when the movie comes out.

I'm still annoyed all the EU stuff went byebye.

It should be a good movie in any case.

Believe me the closer we get to release... Dear Zod in the Zone... the hype will be off the charts. And if it's really good to great? Forget about it... The threads will go so fast Thread Manager will self destruct.

You mean that universe where IG-88 became the Death Star II? Good riddance. :o

And pissed off the Emperor by holding the elevator doors shut? Yeah.

Three words about the old EU...

Grand...

Admiral...

Thrawn.

(drops the mic)

I'd have preferred to ditch the prequels and keep the Eu from before then. The Clone Wars sounded awesome but we got crap instead.

Yeah... In the Zahn novels the hints were of a movement of evil cloners that were replacing the populace of the galaxy. Sounded creepy and big in scale. I really could have given a crap about Trade Federations and whatever the hell was the backdrop for the Prequel's plots.

That would be epic. :(

They mentioned how cloned Jedi went nuts. Ignoring Joruus for a second, I was imagining something like Yoda fighting a half dozen insane clones of Obi-Wan or Obi-wan getting ready to fight one crazed clone of Anakin when another half dozen show up behind the first, all with lightsabers at the ready. The battles would be way beyond anything the original trilogy did and the politics of having hundreds of powerful people being replaced by clones and the rampant paranoia would have been awesome.

I'm still disappointed over the bland route they went.

So Invasion of the Body Snatchers with lightsabers? :o

Oh this is just the begining.

If SW7 is good, the SW boards will explode.

Think of the Batman boards after TDK.

Mads as Thrawn is one of those things that takes a second to click but then sounds really good. :D

They worked in Darth Bane to the new canon, as well as elements of James Luceno's version of Plagueis....who knows, maybe they'll work in some iteration of Thrawn, even if he isn't the trilogy-spanning figure we know.

Why don't the Fantastic Four boards get more attention on SHH? :o

I didn't even know Star Wars had their own board :oldrazz:

I have been a Superman and Batman fan since childhood, so for me... seeing the iconic characters together for the first time on screen is a huge reason why I go and post on BvS boards, I assume that's the reason why many go there as well.

I think comic book fans have been waiting for years to see a unified DC movie verse where Batman, Superman, WW and other DC heroes co-exist, we have waited for years for this to happen.

Now, let me come to Star Wars part, I liked the original trilogy, the SW prequels were somewhat entertaining... I also liked the animated Clone Wars series.

But, was I expecting to see more SW movies ? Was I waiting for more SW movies set in that Universe ? Sadly, answer is NO. I'm just not a big SW fan, I only have a mild interest in the movies. Many people I know thought SW ended with all the prequels produced by Lucas.

There were few posters in the Star Trek sub-forum section before it was merged with other sub-forums due to lack of activity, not many cared for Star Trek movies, similarly, SW is not as widely popular as Marvel movies (or DC movies) here, despite what Disney's marketing machine would like you to believe.
