I always dug X3 more then X1. I expected a half assed Phoenix story so that didn't surprise me. The killing of characters was the only thing that really pissed me off. Otherwise I think its a somewhat decent popcorn flick. Thought X1 was cheap, boring and didn't know how to use most the X-Men or their powers. Ruined a few characters for me itself. I despise Singers version of Rogue. Shes weak, whiney and doesn't contain any of the personality of why she works good in the comics.

Hmmm now that you said that, I finally get why you said Blade 1 was better than X-Men 1. Action over character development.

Yeah and no. I think it's overall a way more entertaining film and it's action is far superior. Blade had plenty of development imo though. I don't find much of X-Men 1's characters interesting. It left me hanging on alot of them. Besides Wolverine, Rogue(who I hated) Prof X and Magneto everyone were underdeveloped. I just think it's an extremely underwhelming film and boring take on the characters I grew up reading. It angers me on a few levels. I was shocked at how much better X2 was the first time I saw it in every department of filmmaking.

If Singer didn't make X2 I would be extremely worried about DOFP.

You would be surprised to know that the general public see Quicksilver as a X-Men character more than an Avengers character. Simply because most people don't pick up comics. Quicksilver has been used in X-Men videogames and cartoons which are more accessible to the public than the comics.

Pietro and Wanda are Magneto's children for as long as Marvel says they are, and it wouldn't surprise me if their parentage gets "re-retconned" back to Madeline and Robert Frank before DOFP. Or, more likely, to match whatever Whedon says it will be in A:AOU.

B) Just made straight up bad films, F4, F4:ROSS
C) Horrible decisions like canceling Firefly.

They're slowly trying to work their way back. But I'm still wary of them.
