Why hate FOX?

No, it's because they genuinely suck. Look at the movies they've made, look at the bastardizations they did with Galactus and Dr. Doom.

Yeah, and to add to that long list of bastardity Viper and Silver Samurai aren't all that memorable either.

So Fox hasn't learned much despite the hype.

First Class is the only X-Men team film that I felt got it truly right with regards to the characters. Pretty much everyone is given a purpose and character in that film. Banshee's character may not be as deep as Magneto's, but at least he's given a character. Too many characters even in the Singer films are just afterthoughts. It, of course, got much worse in Last Stand.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

You need to spread this message to the movie going audience, who have been abandoning the FOX Marvel movies in droves.

But why? It's just a list of movies, half of which are garbage.

No offense to people who like the bottom half of that list.

For the most part, I agree. I do like the director's cut of Daredevil however - there's still a few scenes of ridiculousness though (Colin Farrell as Bullseye just doesn't work that well for me, plus the playground scene with Elektra is super silly). Overall though, I think it's a very solid adaptation of the character. The rest though, I agree with. The first two X-Men movies, First Class & The Wolverine are very enjoyable, but it stops there for me.

I hope FOX continues to do right by the X-Men characters, but I would rather the FF come back to Marvel. They would work so much better in the grand scheme of storytelling that Marvel Studios is tackling & having ties to important cosmic characters would only enhance the MCU. As it stands now, I just don't see FOX being able to utilize FF to its fullest potential - and that really is my reasoning for wanting to see the FF back in the fold at Marvel.

The only reason the Director's Cut of Daredevil wasn't the Theatrical Cut is because Fox executives butchered it to get a 100 minute film and PG-13 rating.

Sometimes I feel like Psylock is lowkey reverse trolling or something.

I would still take Viper and Silver Samurai over their versions of Psylocke, Blob, Deadpool, Elektra (sorry, Garner was awful in my opinion), Bullseye... I'm sure there are more I can't think of this early.

Fox has ruined a lot of characters, just for the sake of having their names in a movie.

I think Fox has been on a roll with the X-Men since at least with FC and onto what they have planned for DOFP.

Spider-Man, FF they should go back to marvel but somehow I enjoy the X-Men existing in their own world separately.

Now every problem in the film is due to Fox itself instead of the scriptwriter or director? There's been a massive shift in quality since 2011, they have learned their mistakes, they've been giving more control to the directors. The guy who was f**** over every property is now gone.

Fantastic another Spider-Man reboot, just what we need. It would be extremely wasteful considering the first was well received and has set up story lines for another 5 films. By the looks of it both Sony and Marvel are trying to tie the two universes together and both companies, Marc Webb and Weaton have expressed interest also in a full crossover. It's not like Marvel have done well with Spider-Man lately. Killing him off in two universes and from what I hear on the Spidey boards the cartoon is a crapfest.

So, you're saying SONY is doing badly?

Me no, they are bathing in the £750 million the reboot made. After Sony saw the money TA Sony changed their mind on a Avengers crossover. Sony do two things
1. Fan service (Venom in SM3, Changing the Spider-Man costume for the reboot sequel)
2. Try to maximise the cash. This links in to Venom in Spidey 3.

I don't think it's a bad thing that the X-Men and the Fantastic Four rights are with another company. Marvel has a ton of movies coming up, I wouldn't want certain characters held back cause they weren't ready to release something. I doubt we'd be getting Ant Man if Marvel had the rights to Spider-Man, X-Men, FF, etc so I think it's good that other studios have these other characters.

Personally whilst I don't think the FF films or X3/XO:Wolverine were great I've seen far far worse from the genre. I'd say aswell the amount if quality X-Men films outweighs the bad and Fix seem to want o put it right with DOFP and the (hopefully) upcoming FF reboot.

The X-Men universe is so massive on it's own it would probably be a disservice to it to have it be part of marvel studios where their attention has to be on so many other projects at the same time.

As I mentioned I think the X-Men work best when they are in their own universe.

I just want the F4 back at Marvel, X-Men are fine at FOX. They had a mix of bad and good with the X franchise and they seem to be on the right track now, but both F4 films were terrible. They didn't even get the team right, only Ben and Johnny were good, Reed was awful i didn't believe he was a genius. Sue the most powerful of the four was reduced to another damsel in distress waiting to be saved. Doom was not threatening. At all. Galactus was a cloud .... that is all. Give my favourite team back to Marvel please FOX.

Definitely

I don't hate or blame Fox or any other studio for keeping the rights to characters.

Marvel sold the rights to these characters to stay afloat and as a result we have MCU.

I do wish Fox would sell Disney Fantastic Four though. We need Skrulls, Dr. Doom and the FF team in the MCU.

I'm a Fox fan-boy!
I like Samantha Fox too. Touch Me (I Want Your Body) is one of my favourite songs.

They do. And Fox can keep them as far as I'm concerned. The harm to that property is already done.
The FF on the other hand, completely different story. They just belong to the rest of the MCU and Fox has proven a couple of times that they have no idea how to handle that property the right way.

Gotta agree.
Stylistically, FF has a lot more in common with the MCU's four-color approach to a traditional Marvel universe, while the X-Universe is all about the superhero as shunned outsider. There's no place for the "rockstars" of the FF in that kind of milieu.

Here's what I'd *seriously* like to see happen, even though it's just pie in the sky dreaming:

1) Fox gives Marvel Studios the FF. The MCU focuses on the classic "four-color" comic books....Hulk, Cap, Thor, Iron Man, Avengers, Fantastic Four, Dr. Strange, Black Panther, etc.
2) Fox expands the X-Universe with new titles and brands, including Wolverine, Deadpool, X-Force, X-Factor, Cable, New Mutants, and others.
3) Marvel Studios gives its "street level"/Marvel Knight heroes to Sony, who then expand into a crimefighter-type universe, including Daredevil, Ghost Rider, Blade, Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Moon Knight.
