Why hate FOX?

Marvel said they were thinking of using Quicksilver while Fox were already casting for the role.

They cast and announced after Marvel said they were (thinking of) using him. I don't mind him being in an X-Men movie, just the way FOX handled it made me mad.

Fox had been revealing castings via twitter for months, it was Quivksilvers turn, bad timing yes but nobody dd it to screw over others

As stated before

Case Closed, not Bryan Singer's fault that Joss Whedon decided to incorporate 2 mutants into the Avengers

Up until now all the Predator films have been very solid

The first Predator was great. The 2nd Predator was like a parody of the first film, and both AvP movies were horrid. Predators was okay. Certainly better then the AvP movies anyway.

I completely forgot Fox made AVP. Been trying to erase that from my mind. That film was friggen terrible.

Fox really did make some of the ****tiest movies I've seen that just flat out pissed me off in between 2004 and 2009.

I didn't even count with the AVP series, then yeah the Predator franchise does have some stinks. It hurts that the vídeo games had already proven that you can do a lot of interesting stuff with that crossover

Marvel announced they were using QS than Singer/FOX shoehorned him into one scene. I feel like DOFP is going to be filled with cameos and very little screentime except for Wolverine.

So then your basing your claims off of your bias of how you think the movie is gonna turn out?

If they cast and announced him, that means they already had him written into the script and had auditions and screen tests for the role. So that means that they were working with Quicksilver -before- Marvel made their statement.

I loved Predators thought it was awesome.

it's his fault that he decided to put QS in is movie MONTHS after filming started, only a week or two after Whedon hinted that he might be interested in using the Maximoffs. Sorry, but that was how it happend. there was no indication before Whedons interview about the 'siblings appearing in TA2' that QS had ANY part in DOFP

He was still revealing the other mutants, Quicksilver may not even be an important characters, which seems the reason for why he wasn't revealed till that point

I don't know if any director or studio should be blamed for the dueling Quicksilver apearances. In both cases, his inclusion makes a great deal of sense. Even if Singer had no intention of Quicksilver appearing in DOFP prior to Whedon's announcement, it's important for FOX to "mark their territory" and inform moviegoers that they are the home of the Marvel mutants. And linking their film to the wildly popular Avengers franchise, as Singer did in his original tweet, is simply good business.

For Marvel Studios, Quicksilver's appearance with his sister in the Avengers sequel is simply another step in a series of Phase II moves pushing up against the borders of their rights agreements. Iron Patriot, Ronin and the Maximoff twins were all thought to have been lost in poorly worded late 90's contracts, but Feige and company were aggressive in bringing them into the fold. Until Marvel and FOX can reach some kind of detente, as they appear to have done with Sony, these types of p-ing contests will continue.

I don't think Marvel and Fox need to come to an agreement...lets not forget Marvel has a hand in the films that they don't make and knew way before we did that Quicksilver would be in both films.

Singer had a light stage or whatever built to film Quicksilver, that tells me that Singer didn't just throw him in there for the sake of it, but that he was actually thinking about how to film the Pietro at super speed.

Also Evan Peters seems to get along better with Michael Fassbeneder than Ian McKellen, because it might be that Pietro is in the 70's and not in the Future, hence his been working a lot more with Michael.

If he is in the dreaded future, then I think that would show his really shoehorned in, as all he would do is run around for cool action scenes.

But if is in the 70's then I think he will play a much bigger role in terms of plot. What if what causes all this is the death of Pietro. With Pietro dying Magneto loses it and decides to eliminate those responisible. Since then the Humans have been working to try and develop away to elimante the mutants.

I'm just speculating of course... But let's just say its Magnetos plan that gets him killed in the first place since Magneto wasn't overly fond of humans to begin with, with Pietro dying it really is just an excuse for extermination. Lets just say Wolverine comes back to the past to stop Magento, maybe he ends up saving Quicksliver. That by itself would be the first major stepping stone to a new rebooted X-Men, since Quicksliver would be alive in the present, but then again having Wolverine meet the X-Men in the past is already clearing up a path for a different future.

Hopefully this leads to Wolverine in Yellow Spandex!! Lol

1.) where does the Ronin persona appear in Phase 2? Have I missed something?
2.) Ronins first appearance was in the early 2000s. I doubt contracts of the 90ies mentioned him/her. Echo may have been part of the DD deal, but Hawkeye was always with MS

Misspelling - it"s Ronan, who despite having a first appearance in an FF comic will be portrayed by Lee Pace in GOTG.

same could be said for Iron Patriot

Possibly - I'm not certain how these rights agreements work. If Marvel didn't claim the term "Iron Patriot", could Sony have had Norman Osborne wear an Iron Man type suit in a future ASM installment? I don't know for sure, but it certainly appears that Marvel Studios is being more aggressive in claiming character rights post Avengers.

Does Marvel not have the Kree? That would present a big problem for a potential Captain Marvel/Ms. Marvel film.
