Hey all, I'm a long time reader, never really posted, so here I go.
First, I'm not a hater, I'm a massive bat-fan, and am extremely excited for TDK. Nolan is my God, etc.
However, my beef is with WB marketing. Up till now it has been extremely cool, but the amount of work required to get that one, albeit sweet, picture, was pretty unprecedented. Then there is this photo thing.
Does anybody else realize that they are using us to publicize the film for them? All they had to do was make a website, and now groups of people dressed as the Joker are going to be all over the nations landmarks? And only the winner gets anything? Free publicity for the film, and many of the fans are getting nothing in return.
Again, I'm not directing this toward the filmakers, and I'm still as pumped as ever for the movie, but the marketing department really screwed the pooch with this one. Using the fans? They could have at least been honest about it and said "Dress up like the Joker and advertise the freakin movie" or something, but they are using people with the promise of... well... potentially another picture

Anybody agree with me?
