The Dark Knight Will the Batmobile return or be completely redesigned?

You've seen it four times and still haven't payed enough attention to see Fox didn't say that. As long as the surveillance system was in place Fox wouldn't be there. He entered his name at the end and it destroyed it, MEANING HE'S STILL EMPLOYED! As for Batmobile style vehicle...ehh. The only thing about these last two films that have been directly from comic book has been the suit. In terms of protection, lenses, the general look and what not. There is no reason to bring that comic bat style vehicle into Nolan's world. It just isn't logical. The Tumbler is a BEAST and thats what a BEAST like Batman needs, a few adjustments wouldn't hurt though.

i agree with you about the tumbler and everything, but you said it yourself, hes EMPLOYED there, that doesn't mean he will still help Bruce, he said i'll help you this one time, then consider it my recognition....as in i wont help you anymore. I just bought the script to the movie so i know, and i want Fox to help Bruce, so just leave it at that.

No, I didn't know that and I wasn't mocking Nolans creativity. I'm serious if they don't want to bring it back I have no problem with them thinking of something else because I trust in Nolan.

Considering how Bats wanted to be more mobile in this film, I think we'll see a sleeker Batmobile in the third one. Actually, his Lamborghini looked every inch like a sleek Batmobile, done realistically.

And I wouldn't mind seeing that in the third film. Maybe modified, but compact and fast. Again, like the Lambo.

After all, his new outfit is sleeker. (Though heavier in real life, I hear) His equipment should reflect that as well.

Right now, he JUST has the Bat-Pod. A few problems with the Bat-Pod are this: It's a one-seater, if he only had the Bat-Pod during Batman Begins, Rachel Dawes wouldn't have been saved in time from the fear toxin. Also, it leaves Batman exposed to gunfire. He's gonna need a new car. I mean, he could probably use a Sports Car to get into Gotham unnoticed and change there, but for an escape that'd be worthless.

So, yeah, it's time for a brand new car.

watching the scene where bruce... in the Lambo..... when he saves Reese's ass... well the car was done.. but i can totally see bruce trickin' one of those bad boys out... toughin' it up a bit with Fox's help.... i mean... i love the tumbler.. but i wouldn't mind seeing a little more Lambo in the next one... i remember they initially described the tumbler as a hum-vee / Lambo mix....cool...just more Lambo now.... bring on the next.... but keep the pod... that was pretty cool as well....

I'm for any one of these three options:

-Bruce just repairs the Tumbler and continues to use it.
-Bruce designs/creates a new vehicle (a mix of Tumbler/Lambo) with Fox's help
-Or yet another military acuired vehicle...perhaps a some sort of flight vehicle...something that would have to look like it work in real-life though. A stealth plane, perhaps?

However, if they go the plane route, and it can go very FAST like most stealth planes can...there has to be a reason in the story for him to use it besides it being just another way to get around.

After seeing the stuff the tumbler did, i dont think they can downgrade to some suped up car. I think they need a redesigned tumbler. The tumbler clearly looked rough. I think Batman could be a prettier version.

We had the batmobile, we have the bat-pod, I think the next step is the Batwing/Batboat (same vehicle). Like can you imagine the surprise when this thing is in the air and crashes only to start boating? Or if it's on the water and then the wings stretch out and it takes off? Every movie has some kind of surprise or new vehicle so although I don't doubt we'll see a new Batmobile, we'll probably see this as well.

I honestly don't know what I'd want the Batmobile to look like. They usually look like regular cars with fins but I really want something unique like the tumbler.

The way I see it...he trashed the batmobile and his lamborgini...in order to disguise the new batmobile as something unrecognizable as something Wayne Enterprises is responsible for...he'll get a mix of both...now that would be sweet...and come close to looking like a batmobile we're all familiar with...and its a plausible explanation for its design.

The next thing will be either the Batwing or a Bat copter. but I bet it is the bat wing. If you look at the video on Comcast about Bruce, the narration talks about Wayne personally buying stealth propeller technology, as well as other technology. I can't see them going with a copter, so the next phase is some sort of Batwing. Those Comcast videos said a lot about the film and what is in it, as well as future films.
