Wisdom Teeth

I was on soup and Gatorade until things started to heal. Those were the first two things my dentist said and I didn't want to risk anything. Only things that were soft and didn't require a lot of (or any) chewing. The soups had potatoes, veggies, meat and whatever, but it wasn't like it required any effort to break down. I'm sure there's a wider variety of things you could eat but my paranoia was too much.

It looks like I'll be stuck on tomato soup, Coke, ice cream and vicoden.:csad:

What could you eat? Where you just limited to soup or could you eat things like pasta? I don't even really like meat that much so I won't be crying that much about not getting to eat it.

I bought a large supply of mashed potatoes and soup, so I'll probably be living off of that for a few days.

Get yourself some fluids too and let the pain meds do their thing.

I had all four of mine cut out at the same time, like Mister J said follow the rules and you'll be just fine. I had it done on a Friday and was back to work on Monday. The first day sucks, but thats what the drugs are for. :cwink:

Who said I would die? I could just slip into a coma for a week until somebody finds me on the couch have starved.:csad:
oh, well then yeah.
they probably wont help you.

God, it's like you and I share a common interest.... Pain Killers :oldrazz:

Fluids like Powerade, water, and such did the trick for me. I slept alot do to the pills. Mister J, may be on to something there

My surgery and recovery period weren't bad at all. The worst part was finding out what happens when you take Tylenol w/ Codeine on an empty stomach :(

That's nothing. Mix it with beer or Jager. Then you'll know.:csad:

Yeah I'm SUPER glad you warned me about that.

Ouch. The warning on the bottle should really be bigger than size 0.6 font :o

It's hard enough just finding the dosage on the damn things.

my bff got all four of hers surgically removed around this time last year... she could only eat ice cream and cooled soup while everyone ate christmas dinner :/ and she had a bad reaction to the codeine so she had to go on percocet, which just knocked her right out... so she did that for about three straight days.

that being said, good luck!:yay:

Yeeeah, gettin mine out just in time for Christmas sucks :( I'll be glad when they're gone though, no room in my mouth for them.

mine have been on "watch" for a few years now... i'm hoping they get to stay.

the bottom two started to come in like 5 years ago and they pretty much haven't grown in any more since, so i'm pretty worried about them. the dentist still hasn't made a call on it though. my top two came in fully, but they both grow diagonally outwards towards my cheek... my dentist said as long as i can keep them clean in that position, i won't have to get them taken out.

my life story aside, yeah, a little pain and suffering now is definitely much better in the long run if they're out before they mess up the rest of your teeth!

Yeah they're already shifting my teeth that I paid large sums of money for (braces lol). They gots to go!

ATP, it's not bad at all. Don't worry too much... I had it done last year, recovered really fast. The surgery itself... I was asleep for. Got gassed, the works. Woke up an hour later and it was done. You'll be fine

I will be too. I can't wait for that, I enjoy being put under haha.

I was really nervous leading up to it. Then I sat down, got an IV in my arm, and they put the gas mask on me. Out like a light and woke up, it was done with.

i had to get a bunch of adult teeth pulled before i got my braces on... if they hadn't gassed me, i probably would have just gotten up and left after the local anaesthesia injections.

i was still awake though... the sound isn't very high on my list of things i like to hear. :down

Well, I have to get up early for the surgery so I'm gonna call it a night. I'll let you guys know how it went as soon as I'm competent enough to use the keyboard haha :oldrazz:

Hahaha, ATP seems to love calling me when she gets done having any kind of sugery involving anesthesia (Told you to stop that sucka :cmad:) If I had a recorder, I'd play it for y'all. She's done and should probably be asleep for a few hours.

I hope all goes well. Having teeth removed is never a nice thing! They took four of mine out to make room for my wisdoms, so hopefully I'm safe from this nightmare!
