I know most ppl on the Hype aren't Wolverine fans, but the recent Wolverine arc has been really good IMO. As most of you probably know as it's been out a month (spoilers in case not)
Sabertooth gutted and was feeding on Feral when Wolverine found him.

Then previews of Wolverine 55 coming out in a few days show Wolverine getting the sword that negates healing factors that he gave Scott in Origins.

So for those of you who like Wolverine, and have been reading his fights with Sabertooth for years, what do you think? Since that sword can most likely kill, and keep Sabertooth down as that's what it's designed to do, writers will have a hard time explaining Sabertooth coming back when the sword negates his healing factor. I personally can see Sabertooth being killed off after what happened in 54.

So you guys think it's about time their rivalry finally ended? Sad that such a long on going rivalry is ending? Sabertooth really going to be gone for good and most likely replaced by this Romulus guy that seems to be pulling the strings? Just would like to hear some thoughts as it's hard to get a conversation on Wolverine going around here without arguments, and this is a somewhat big step as Wolverine might lose possibly the biggest villain in his rogue list (maybe not best, but his most hated).

EDIT- BTW I just read that posting a spoiler in the topic results in a auto ban, just wanted to say that it's not a spoiler, just asking for a prediction from others as it can go either way and the comic hasn't come out yet. If a mod wants to change the title, feel free. I didn't want to get in trouble, so just saying this in case.

A) No he probably won't die for good
B) But I wouldn't care if he did.
C) This Wolvie arc is lame
D) Bianchi should stick to covers
E) Haha at that first preview page. Using "*****e bag" is classy, Loeb

Personally I like the arc. I mean I hate the overall premise that Wolverine, Feral, and Sasquatch (who's not even a mutant) are all somehow an offshoot of humanity. I do however like the introduction of a new villain who has ties to Wolverine somehow dating way, way back, and that this guy has been pulling Wolverine's strings for years. I also like how it's adding more depth to the Wolverine vs. Sabertooth fued, other than "they've always hated eachother, and might be related but who knows?" deal that's been going on for a long time. Plus it's had good fight scenes, and went from the X-mansion, to wakanda, to canada in the process.

Loeb's ideas in this story are all just horrible. I read the first two issues and I've been reading the previews since and it's almost unfathomable that it keeps getting lamer. Also, Bianchi is soooo wrong for X-Men stuff

who cares?! all those old ass x men characters need to die off anyways.

What's important here is that Feral (aka the poor man's Wolfsbane) is finally dead.

You know if you don't care, you don't have to post, let alone take the time to open up this thread and read the comments . As I said at first it's for ppl who have actually read the storyline, or actually care and want to discuss it. Not the, "Wolverine is dumb and overrated, let's hate him cause it's cool!" crowd. If you don't like the X-Men, or Wolverine, or whoever then don't post in subjects about them, it's not that hard.

(P.S. as I predicted lol, can't mention Wolverine without a needless argument starting)

- He won't.
- I hope he will.
- Feral is not "a kid".

How does this sword Negate healing factors? Is it magic or is there nanotech on the blade? It doesn't make sense....and why woulnd't they use this sword against the Hulk..

And Bianci draws some really big gross nipples on Sabertooth and for that reason and that reason alone I would like to see Sabertooth Die...But no, he wont die. He's on of Marvels most recognisable Villains.

Loeb's said that this is going to be the last Logan/Creed fight, implying that one of them isn't going to survive. Word on the street is, that Trent Reznor-esque son of Logan's from Origins is going take up the mantle of Sabretooth before the end of the year.

Put those two together and yeah, it looks like Creed is going to finally die. Or at least that's what Loeb is intending. Whether he stays dead for good is up to Marvel and some future writer's plans.

One last thing...I hope your thread title doesn't count as a spoiler, because if so, well...see ya.

Lying in the Gutters is saying Wolverine's son from the horrid piece of **** comic Wolverine: Origins will be the new Sabretooth.

What's sad is that this arc started out good and then got rather lame :(

What's baffling is the 'OMD' image in the top left corner of the cover. Looks odd.

And we do it very well, but I haven't had my coffee yet, we'll hijack the Avengers thread later or something.

I think it is probably a bad idea to kill off Sabortooth. He is like Wolverine's Joker, sort of. When you think of Wolverine enemies Sabortooth is the first name that pops up, for me anyway.

Maybe in some way the Final Fight between Creed and Logan means that something will be revealed about one of them, like Creed isn't really his real name just as Logan isn't Wolverine's real name. Or maybe this is the final fight where Creed kills a woman Wolverine is close to on his birthday. I really don't see Marvel killing off one of its major bad guys.
I also really don't see them replacing him with a character from a story that lots of people don't like, or replacing him with someone no one knows yet. (I could see them introducing that new character and after that guys boom in popularity over a few year, then using him to replace Creed).
I sort of see how they might kill off Creed, he hasn't been very big lately But Maybe its like a slump or something.
I am also not the biggest Sabortooth fan, so maybe I am wrong about his popularity as of late.

Maybe this is the death of the old Sabortooth, and the birth of a new Sabortooth in that Creed dies and is reborn with a new purpous or a new overall characterization or something.
Maybe this has something to do with Wolverine, Feral, and Sasquatch's being being offshoots of humanity. Maybe its the death of the "human Sabrotooth"
and the birth of the "inhuman" offshoot Sabortooth.

I don't know.
I just have trouble seeing Marvel kill off a character like that. I mean it would be like killing off ... I don't know.

Just how many times has Logan said that "This ends tonight" concerning him?

More times than I care to count.

I doubt it would, but was covering my backside just in case when I said that. Since the comic hasn't come out, and no definitive sources have been printed, it's kinda hard to spoil a comic that's just guess work right now. People have been banned for less tho lol.

Agreed.

Accept this time Wolverine has an anti-healing factor sword, and Sabertooth just killed "a kid" supporting cast type, if this were a movie that'd mean a dead Sabertooth. Lately some Marvel comics have been written in a movie style (mainly because their bringing in Hollywood writers), so I wouldn't put it past them to go thru with an obvious set up like this.
