After recalling the 1st 3 X men flms and watching dofp it is clear these two characters just can't get along. Both have similar a$%hole personalities and and no back up t all! I find it funny that agneto ALWAYS beats down Wolvie. EVen with no metal in his body Magneto put it in and through him away life nothing again. He actually drowned him and killed him which is the only way Wolvie can die. You'd think they could coexist but even on the same team they just conflict too much. Great to see that played out on the big screen.

actually he didn't kill wolverine cause wolvie's op healing factor

BUT
damnit thats the worst way to suffer just being under water suffocating over and over, i bet he was begging to die...

I wanted them to really be able to go at it. An actual fight. Kinda the way had beast had a hold of magneto.

I thought it was refreshing that Wolverine didn't have a lot of action scenes in the movie. Though I wish he was able to put up a fight with Wolverine for like a minute before Magneto threw him off in the river.

I think it's disappointing we don't get to see future Wolverine solo sentinels, but they made them so OP there was never a chance of that happening. Disappointing.

If he died, he would have died like everyone else that faced them, and then we'd have no movie.

I agree. The one thing i hope is that we get to see a real Wolverine vs. Sentinel battle someday.

"I spent years trying to take you down"

That line only suggests that the X-Men faced Magneto again in the 2007-2012 timespan.

Magneto is no match for either of them. As we have seen everytime beast touches him. I feel we got a glimps of why Magneto always strikes first in the future.

I was a little disappointed with their fight but I was just like "Magneto is ****ing badass". He put metal pipes in Wolverine and threw him into the river drowning him.

That's ****ing cold.

Magneto=BOSS!

I don't think so, being as how Wolverine looked surprised to see magneto at the airport in the post credit scene of the wolverine.

Even though I love Wolverine I agree that it was kinda cool seeing him take kind of a backseat to the other characters. Though I still would've liked to see a non-metal Wolverine get his hands on Magneto the way Beast did and I wouldve liked to see him take down at least one sentinel. But it was still a breath of fresh air. Wolverine and Magneto really cant get along and I might be the only one to notice the way Magneto reacts when Wolverine volunteers himself to go back in time is the same way he reacts when Wolverine volunteers himself to break into Stryker's underground facility in X2.

I loved the line Magneto said to Wolverine after he pins his claws on the Newspaper in the airplane.

Magneto can't stand Wolverine. Maybe it's because everyone is in awe of him except Wolvie. Even his enemies. Even The Professor treats him with the utmost respecteven in conflicting moments. But we know Wolvie respects noone because with not being able to die he really has no consiquences. Imagine knowing no matter what you would heal instantly. Your attitude would have certainly change. He even smarts off to the Professor every movie. So I think Magneto feels he doesn't have to put up with that s#@t. Especially when Wolvie has metal in his body and that means he basically belongs to Magneto.

It's brutal, the way Wolverine basically has to drown over and over again. That's how I figure it went, even though they didn't show it all. Also Fassbender can look like a total a-hole, it just boosts his villainy so much.

"Are you gonna pick that **** up"? is my absolutely favorite line in the movie.

So Wolverine can or can't die from drowning according to the movie?

He could regenerate...then die again because he's still stuck underwater.

Kinberg said in an interview that Singer had worked out some explanation about how his lungs could survive that.

Do you have the details on that?

For a brief moment I thought Wolverine was dead. But apparently his healing powers prevent him from drowning at the bottom of the Potomac! Comic Book Guy question: How does that work?

That was part of the challenge. Bryan and I asked, 'How do you actually put Wolverine in real jeopardy?' Not just getting shot or blown up. Bryan had some science for how the lungs would rebuild themselves.

That was it. No idea what the 'science' was.

I do hope we get a commentary track from Singer with the blu-ray. Seeing as how he needed to step back from promoting the film, hopefully we'll get to hear his take on everything at some point.

I'm on the "die-revive-die-revive" side on things myself, I still believe he drowned plenty of times. I truly believe that if Logan died for a longer time, he'd stay dead.

The whole subject on him dying from drowning seems to differ from time to time. I thought that was a way to kill him, as he killed his son in the comics who has the same powers by drowning him. But this is the film, so it could work out differently.
