PM if you see it up on youtube anytime soon. just thought I'd post the thread now.

I can't wait to see this episode. "Guardian Angel", "Shades of Grey" and "Foresight" were always the ones I was looking forward to the most after reading the plot synopses.

Great episode. They threw in a couple interesting twists for this episode.

Storm and Angel? That's awesome.

I hope it never comes to pass.
I want Psylocke/Archangel. :oldrazz:

[BLACKOUT]didnt he flirt with her when she first came on the team?[/BLACKOUT] I actually want them to explore that relationship more this time.
Along with...
Rogue and Logan
Its nice that they are not giving us the same old same old.

Yeah I definitely agree. At the least with Emma Frost and Cyclops, it's not something they've done before in animation.

The scene with Sinister at the hospital was sick!
It was the best interpretation of the character I have ever seen. Clancy Brown does an amazing job, but in this episode it reached perfection. And the most I liked was that Sinister calls himself by his real name, Nathaniel Essex, while others call him Sinister.
Archangel's story was real emotional and sad, while Archangel finally did something with his wings, beside just flying, and used them creatively.

I remember Warren trying to flirt with Emma, not Ororo. But was that in the comics? Still, I'm intrigued and eager about this new development between Angel and Storm.

Good observation by sauron on Sinister.

Liam O'Brien was totally getting into Gaara territory with this episode.

Well Storm has a reason to hate Sinister.

Sinister is the most evil person on the show, Kelly, Magneto and Warren Worthington II are not pure evil, they are all misguided in a way. But there is no moral complexity with Sinister, his name says it all. Beast called Sinister evil, I don't think he has said that about anyone else on the show.

Really like this episode...First time I really felt the emotional depth!

In my Top 5 so far.

Along with Hindsight pt 2, Time Bomb, Greetings From Genosha, and Battle Lines.

Angel and Storm will only go as far as being teammates. The scene of them flying together was just a nice setup to showcase their free spirits when "riding the wind", so when Angel becomes Archangel you can see the dramatic change in character. Awesome episode by the way. Sinister was classic, and it was nice to see Wolverine still has and knows about his renegade side.

Anybody notice that one scene where Moss had 6 fingers? He was pointing at Worthington saying "You didn't tell me he was your son" or whatever.

Didn't notice that.

Favorite exchange:

"You would find the people who did this to you!"

"That's because I'm a monster kid! You're not!"

Yeah that kind of bugged me...

"I'm a monster kid! That's why Xavier's time traveling astral projection decided I should lead The X-Men!"

Still, it was kind of fitting. The biggest problem with this ep, IMO, was it kind of overdid it with the melodrama. Harkened back to the 90s. There was plenty of emotional turmoil set up for the eventual fallout, but the writing just felt cliched at some points. And Jesus, is Kelley 2 dimensional or what?

Thanks VileOne,

I really have high expectations for Sinister and especially Apocalypse in Season 2. Maybe this show had some... not so perfect episodes, but if you watch it as one arc, or entire chapter that spans whole season it nails every other X-Men show to date, because of it's continuity of one major plot line.

Woe brilliant episode. The emotional depth was definitely there. Best episode so far and Wolverine had nothing to do with it. Storm & Angel made a great couple. I hope they push their relationship even further. I'd love Storm to end up with him.

Pretty good.

The interactions between Wolverine and Angel in the finale made good use of Logan's backstory, though it also highlights the clash with the un-Wolverine-ish personality the show often writes him as (also, where were Beast and Storm in that extended fight? They just waited outside for no reason while Wolverine handled it by himself).

This was Storm as a character's most prominent role so far; used fairly well, though they might have spared one of the Wolverine solos in favour of giving her friendship/flirtation with Angel more time.

Warren Worthington II is a film import, but, as I thought in X3, he's a very good idea for the mythos. It adds something to Angel's character

Clancy Brown as Mister Sinister I found a lot better here than in his previous debut, but I think I like the TAS voice better; sounded weirder, as opposed to, well, Clancy Brown's standard villain voice. Sinister's visual presentation here likewise was a lot spookier than in #12.

The thing is, Wolverine doesn't really like who he is and doesn't have a high opinion of himself. He hates himself.

Yeah, that's the proper Wolverine, as sometimes shown here; other times, he's written like Cyclops.

I completely agree I didn't really think he felt right in episode 12 but the this episode changed my mind. There is a really great presence when Sinister is creeping in the dark.

Oh Warren. I was hoping he wouldnt trust Sinister but it was obvious. I wanted them to at least give him a new costume here
