Wolverine VS. Sentinel clip

The clip was shown about an hour and a half ago. Constantly complaining????

Um, no. Perhaps previous complaints that were really presumptions are being aired again in light of new, substantiated proof. But still, that's still not complaining, that's now criticism based on actua evidence. In either case, no one is constantly complaining.

Two, doesn't give you a right to call people that. Plain and simple. You owe an apology. Its against board rules, plain and simple.

Bosef, I've liked all your critiques about this film so far. I think this only adds to what a crapfest this film will turn out to be. I can see the critics having a field day with the bad dialogue and half baked FX. I expected more too.

Keep preaching the truth.

maybe he was hanging at the back of the sentinels head when it landed. ryt? its possible.

No, he wasn't. You can tell when it falls that he isn't on it. It takes him a while to appear (it isn't instantly), and when he does, he is walking, and his legs are moving as if he was walking more than just a few steps from behind the head.

this is my second time saying this... this is one minute out of a scene (and one minute out of a movie) and we dont know if we see more of the sentinel earlier in the scene. just chill and wait

At least the music isn't any cheesier than from the Nightcrawler/Jean/Storm church scene in X2...:p

there's nothing wrong with a healthy debate, as long as everyoned plays nice disorder in order and all that.

people are being picky though.

Yeah they are, this movie is gonna rock.

Here's my attempt at making a meaningful post:

Music is an IMMENSE factor in establishing a feeling, a tone. This, I hope, was just temp music. If thats the case, then its likely this particular scene will be much less campy with the intended score. It was the music that was similar to F4, and could easily trigger that initial thought.

I, for one, was impressed with Colossus's effects - but its likely he'll have more finishing touches. But I liked it.

If you haven't noticed, this scene was obviously cut up for this promo - most likely so the viewers would get a jist of whats happeneing. This could cause some of the ackward moments. Play close attention to the 'panties' line said by Logan... here it is easily heard that its been editted, most likely from its original track.

I was impressed with the Sentinel. Why'd the keep it hiding in mist and darkness?
1. It raises Suspense. a lot of people will say "what is that?"
2. It keeps some stuff hidden, in case the movie wants to showcase the Sentinel in all its glory
3. These movies are have a very realistic, serious tone. Maybe the movie-makers decided Sentinel's would be a bit too 'out-there' to be depicted fully.
What they did, was great.

The dialogue will also probably be a lot better with different music. I really liked some of Hugh's lines. they've given him a more Wolverine-ish sense.

I was impressed.
I share your viewpoints..

I know....that is why I don't go there anymore. This is or is becoming less of that, the most civilized and orderly board on here.
I don't go on that board much either anymore.

yes I'm lowering my expectations now. I told my self that a trailer could make a turd look like delicious chocolate fudge cake, but I still put my hopes up for this movie thinking it'd be on par or better than x1 at least... i'm going to take a step back and be more realistic...

see thats the thing with a sequel, it has to be compared with the others, and they are never better than the first. but ratner has said he's trying to emulate singer in some way, keeping it the exact same world.

I agree 100%.

My guess is that Logan knocks the Sentinel's head off, watches it fall for a few seconds, then jumps off the Sentinel's body.

When they show clips from a movie on tv it's usually different from what you end up seeing in the cinemas.
Everyone knows that, but there are still many people out there that aren't convinced that it'll make any difference to them. They would've made up their mind before watching the entire scene.. :(

You can try all you want...just as I have...to make something positive out of some news or info we get. But there will always be people in here that see only the negative side of things.

i'll just stay quiet for the time being. until certain people resolve certain issues with one another.

This is starting to get really annoying.
How dare people voice their opnions on a forum. Is that what you're saying?

I'm not raving on the dialogue in that scene.

whats funny is all these people complaining are still gonna see the movie, and theyre still gonna complain, and be seated next to people who are actually enjoying the movie, and really ruining it for themselves

Good thing you have the ability to judge the whole movie on this one scene...

No, I'm not saying that, I'm saying that people will still se the movie no matter what. The fx shots aren't finished. And just what sparky said.

WEll, let's think of it this way:

If it's really as bad as this scene so far suggests, Singer can come back for X4 and do what the comics do: Jean Grey comes back and changes everything, effectively retconning X3 out of continuity, and leading us towards a better contiuation of the franchise.

With that, I'm off to bed.

So was that in the DR?
And also did anyone else kinda hate Wolverine more, that he is the one taking out everything all by himself.X-Men=team,X-Men doesn't=Wolverine.

SingItWithMeNow said:
the SFX in X-Men 1 were pretty bad, but everything in that movie was amazing.
The effects are better than the X1 ones imo. My only problem is Colossus, who doesn't look terrible, just worse than he did in X2.
