Wolverine VS. Sentinel clip

The Fastball Special in the comics is a Giant Russian man throwing a dwarfish man in the palm of his freakishly huge hand...in a baseball wind up. Hugh Jackman is not a small guy and having him be launched out of a not so freakishly huge Colossus's hand WOULD BE INCREDIBLY UNBELIEVABLE....and worth the *****ing that it would get....so take the movie version of the Fastball special(more like a discus throw) and be happy with it.

As a baseball fan, and someone who has seen Hugh Jackman on stage (he is freakin' TALL)...just believe me, they would look ridiculous if they did the fastball as a baseball throw

Allow me to re-iterate what has been stated too many times to be conveniently counted:

You can hardly judge an entire movie based on 58 *****ing seconds. Is it so much to ask that we wait one month for this movie before we condemn the entire cast and crew to rot and burn in hell?

I mean, for God's sake, we've already waited 3 years; what's another 30 days?

I think most have judged the clip itself, not the whole movie. That'd be ridiculousoiosititious.

Although there are those whose enthusiasm's given the movie top honors based on this little snippet.

Let's talk about the clip, guys, the clip. And Beer for everybody no matter what our age. it's on me.

Jesus, I don't think "nit-picking" is even the right phrase. It's more like you pick the nits that exist in the microscopic spaces that exist between the individual cells of the nits which can only be seen with an electron microscope. Then you breach the cell wall of the individual nits and pick around the cytoplasm until you've picked apart the damned nucleus.

Because I think it's quite obvious that the dialogue in that scene is stilted and arkward. Perhaps it was edited down for the tonight show and will flow better in the film, but my god! It was almost painful watching that exchange.

This is one of the examples I talked about earlier about people being picky about things that get translated from comic to film...

I don't think we can truly expect Jean to go totally "Phoenix" on us in this movie. She's not going to have the forces of creation giving her intergalactic system-destroying powers, you know? I expect she's more like "Dark Jean Grey" than true full-on Phoenix.

She's not going to be the full-on Phoenix, but she'll still be very destructive.

I agree. But I lump the people who think it'll be a disaster based on the 58 seconds with those that think it'll be the BEST MOVIE EVER based on those same 58 seconds (or the trailer or whatever).

You're right about the fastball. But the other criticisms stand.

The Sentinel one is based on a 50-second clip, so it doesn't hold any water until the movie is released. And as for the Colossus effects, I agree, but full-body CGI always has and currently still does look fake, that's not anyone's fault. And I won't even touch the whole "faithful character adaptation" can of worms.

I'm talking about the Sentinel having GIANT WHITE HEADLIGHT EYES, and then the dinky cheapo head has red LED slits.
