Wolverine VS. Sentinel clip

X2 was not perfect, in fact it wasn't very good at all. It focused too much, once again, on Wolverine. It had a chance to develope the other X-men, yet they chose not to. The fight scenes were lackluster. The overall storyline was kind of lame as well, since you never see the general public and how everything is effecting them. That gives the movie no sense of real urgency or scope. Ottman's score, as usual, was bland and uninspiring, sounding much like a poor man's Danny Elfman. Cyclops, the leader of the X-men was AWOL most of the movie. Basically, I felt it was just a rehash of the first movie. They should have upped the whole team aspect (you know, the X-men being a team and all...), and we should have seen them using their powers together in the finale.

OH yeah, the dialogue was too tongue-in-cheek as well. "Can you stop being a mutant?"

Okay...this came out of nowhere.

How exactly does this pertain to the Wolverine/Sentinel clip?

I am still standing by what was said earlier... that what people saw on Leno was a choppy version given to Leno just for the purpose of Hugh being on the show. I think all the issues that people have with it, like Colossus' color and Wolverine looking like he is coming out of nowhere, will all be fixed by the time the movie is released ... I am not going to put down the entire movie or the director or whoever, just based on this short clip. It is not fair to those that are involved with making the movie.

I think the problem with Colossus was the light he was in. It affected the way he looked, obviously.

Sorry if I missed people talking about this, but i think they're in the danger room. is that the case?

As for the clip itself... crap. Disturbingly bad CGI on Colossus, crappy music, and a Sentinel that is never seen. As with this entire product, it screams of of being rushed and lacking money.

Colossus didn't look too good mostly because of the light he was in. Had he been under darker lightings, he would've looked alot better.

But this isn't the whole scene. So, we'll see more of the Sentinel. And the music just may be temp music.

I doubt the light is the cause of Colossus looking like the T-1000.

Yeah, because it was crappy CGI.

There is no way that this clip is 100% complete...

I LOVE the clip but I agree...Colussus needs some work and the music is pretty generic.

But I'm pretty sure that this is just a rough cut of what we will eventually see on screen...they just wanted something to present for the tonight show...despite the fact that it wasn't necessary (they didn't have to show us anything!).

Relax, guys. :)

Seriously.

It's not at all different from the effect in X2, except the hair is silver (bad move, IMO). Plus, I doubt the effect is finished yet.

No no , psionic :) i'm commenting on what i saw of the clip, nothing more..like i did for the trailer ( that i liked)

that would be really stupid to comment on the movie as a whole..

If you think the story was bland, then I would take it up with Chris Claremont since it was based directly off of his novelization God Loves, Man Kills—in so far as the street scenes are concerned, it was attempted (even to include mutants losing control of their powers) . . . unfortunately, there wasn’t enough funding. In so far as X3 is concerned, as of yet, I see little change in your concerns.

- Again, the story focuses on stopping mutants in some form or another via a serum produced from another mutant

- Cyclops, the leader of the X-men, is reported to die early on or once again not be a major part of the film until the end.

- Wolverine has been said by Arad, the writers, and others, to take on even more of a leadership role

- who knows about the score

- In so far as tongue-and-cheek . . . “Don’t get your panties in a wad” is about as tongue and cheek as you can get (even if it’s coming from Wolverine)

Bah, I'm tired of this X2 vs. X3 crap . . . it will never end.

Then we've got some pretty stupid people on these boards...

j/p ;)

God stop complainin you bunch of knuckleheads! This scene is blatantly unfinished but as it is it doesn't look cheap and b movie style. It looks like the Danger Room which is an illusion as in it's not real. So I think it's good that it doesn't look too realistic, including the Sentinel because it is supposed to be a training sequence not the bloody final battle! As for the Sentinel head looking like something from Power Rangers, I would say it's very difficult for it not to as the Sentinel design is somewhat power rangers style, it's never going to look completely realistic because Sentinels don't exist so they don't have to look real. Plus many touch-ups will occur with both Collosus effects and Sentinel head to produce better CGI and the score is definitely not John Powell style so I doubt it's the actual soundtrack. It's a scene at the beginning of the film which is meant to be slightly cheesy or humourous to have a light mood at the start so that when things get darker and more serious it's more emphasised. I think this scene will work perfectly and people judging a whole film on a 58 second clip is ludicrous anyway. Just relax, the film is going to be great and come May 26th you'll all be laughing at how much you worried about nothing :-)!

It does to me.

You're in no position to say what people have to think or not.

You have to respect other people opinion ,period.

I do respect other peoples' opinions MAZE, with all due respect it's not about that, it's about people judging a whole film on a short unfinished clip of the movie and how they should wait until they see the actual film to judge how good it is overall!

Correction: a clip you THINK is unfinished.

it's about people judging a whole film on a short unfinished clip of the movie

who are you talking about?

you say people? who?

It is unfinished. Wolverini has seen other parts of this clip and has said it looks better
