Wolverine VS. Sentinel clip

Hugh did wire work...

As far as I can tell, Routh only went up against a green screen...

They created a 300 yard rig that went up to speeds of 40 mph specifically for Routh's realistic flying scenes....

I'm really hoping that scene is from the danger room. The trailerfor this movie looks really good and serious, but the dialogue seemed really campy in that clip

It is from the Danger Room. ;)

You are correct. They have released pictures of Routh doing work against the green screen and so forth.

Yeah but Superman flying is a major effect they'll be using alot in the movie, thus it's obvious they'd take more care and make it look perfect. It's not like Logan is going to be flying at every oppurtunity. I'm sure there'll be amazing effects in X3 too, it's just they can't spend tons of money developing a great way for Logan to be thrown with all the countless other powers being on display during the two hours or so.

The Superman clip looks really cool by the way, I'm not a fan of the character but I do want to see it now. But this is about X3, not Supes...

watching the new x3 clip and I heard Rogue's only line in that clip "its getting closer" and its definately not halle's voice. Its Anna's.

yes believe it or not theres actually people thinking this is form the final battle we must spred word that this is FROM THE DANGER ROOM and is meant to be this way...

Watched the Wolverine vs. Sentinel clip. I don't know, looks like it was edited to be a Logan love fest, with all the lines and only him attacking the sentinel. The music was, well different, and the sentinels head remined me of a Power Ranger Megazord.

I have watched the first two X-men films the first weekend they were released. The X3 teaser was wow, but the trailer left me cold. I am trying to get excited, but X3 feels like it was rushed. I still have some hope that the film will be good.

Looks like the war is just starting this week. The SR trailer is annonced, and I have just watched the Casino Royale teaser.

Repulse? That's a strong word to use...

The regular audience doesn't pick at every single detail like us...they're more relaxed.
But the scene is made up of these little details. And if they don't work, people are gonna notice something's up. They just won't be as articulate about it.

I"m sure they could with some things. But things like how the Sentinel looks, I'm sure they don't give a damn about that part.

Actually, the game introduces the Sentinels. Which backs up my theory that the X-Men know very much of them and practice against them in the Danger Room, and we'll see them face to face at the end.

Well that' doesn't help the majority of people who will A) not play the game and B) don't want to be hogtied into buying more than just a movie.

Yeah.. but the same thing still applies - you've seen 58 seconds of a large sequence. Regardless of how good that persons post was, it's a fact.

NO MATTER WHAT CGI they add between the head falling and wolverine walking out from behind it... it wont look good. sorry. bursting a lil bubble you have called "faith in fox". if wolverine fell with the head... and the head spun around once it hit the ground you would see this- according to the laws of science.

Logan: "hey tin man? hows your throwing arm?"
Collosus: walk up to wolverine as he is 'metalling up'. grabs wolverine and tosses him through the air at the sentinels head

logan flys so quickly through the air that his cheeks push against his face as he releases his claws and eyes begin to focus on the target ahead.

Fades into darkness:
sounds of clawing and ripping.
fade out to team waiting below looking up for a sign of what is going on.

Logan: "look out he's coming down!"

Team: scuffles to get out of the way as the chest and body of a 100 foot robot falls to its knees sending the head falling just slightly in front of it.

Logan: hangs on for dear life while the head plummets 90 something feet. His legs are trailing upward from the free fall. The robots head slams against the ground sending logan rolling in the dust. he gets up and brushes himself off. looks at storm... "Why did trask put one of these things in here in the first place?"

No matter what you think about this fantasy movie... if there is no explaination for how wolverine walks out from behind it like he does... then it just a big demostration that this movie is going to be a lot of "Here is part 'a' and here is part 'e'... you guys connect the dots. we didnt want to take the time to do it for you!"

and the game also shows wolverine fighting lady death strike and iceman iced up and "THE PHOENIX"??????? I thought she didnt appear til this movie???? HMMMM... and is there any evidence that if this game is really WHAT HAPPENED BEFORE THE MOVIE, are the xmen going to be walking around talking about the GIANT ROBOTS THAT THE GOVERNMENT MADE TO KILL THEM AND WALK THE STREETS HUNTING MUTANT DNA? cause if they know about the robots from the time line of the game... well hot damn i bet that is something worth talking about!

So... everything in the movie has to be possible by the laws of science?

Not everything in this series has been scientifically possible...

I give up. :)

I'm getting bored of repeating myself. Hate the clip if you want, I couldn't care less. But when you say this clip means the entire film is doomed, that annoys me. But whatever. :)!

Whatever, the cheerleader crowd will pretend we can't judge how a film is shaping up from a 58 second scene but we can get all excited about it from 2 and a half minutes of chopped up 5 second clips.

I'm a huge X-men fan but I'm not going to go "ra-ra Ratner and Fox" when I dont think they're doing that great of a job from the stuff I've seen.

X3 is going to smoke anything Singer can make in his "nothing but realistic" fashion

The Sentinel head that was shown during Hugh Jackman's appearance on NBC's The Tonight Show on Friday was not a special effect.

"It's practical," X-Men: The Last Stand special effects supervisor John Bruno told The Continuum during a visit to the set in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Later, journalists were shown the head, which is about 8 feet high and 15 feet in circumference
