BvS Wonder Woman's Role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - Part 1

Would it be better for her to meet Steve Trevor in modern day retelling instead of WWII since in this universe, everyone comes out after Superman? Superman was around in WWII, but not in this story. Makes sense to me that WW would be making her appearance known now, not back in WWII with Trevor. So Trevor should be more modern.

Trevor makes his apperance during the
Wonderwoman Which is set during the WW1/2 era.So steve definitely isnt modern

Everyone doesn't come after Superman in this universe though. Batman has been operating so long before him that he is retired. Steve needs to be in modern day though, there is no reason to keep him in WWII. Let the character move on like he has in recent years. Modern all the way baby. WW can be in WWII for flashbacks.

which isn't confirmed at all.

Actually it was confirmed at comic con.

Didn't they just show concept art with her standing on some Nazis? Was there more? Doesn't mean it will be a full period piece.

Hmmmmm thats true. However the fact all rumours say this s a period piece and the concept qrt ror the movie only promotes this idea

You can show how old WW is without making her movie in the 40s. I dunno. I guess with Snyder's comments that Superman is first, he brings them out (obviously Batman has operated as an urban legend for 20 years prior but is still just a legend), what would Wonder Woman do for 70 years with Steve Trevor leading up to Man of Steel?

Seems like her story could be retconned and make Trevor more modern. Just based off of how they are doing the story.

WW2 scenes, or any historical scenes, could be in flashback, with main story kept in modern times.

That's what I am hoping for.

Yes and with any pseudo-immortal character, flashback scenes are a must. I don't know how old Diana actually is in the DCEU, but I'd love scenes of her in Ancient Greece.

Oh, I definitely want some scenes of Amazons, if not Diana, from more ancient times, though I doubt they were ever in the Ancient Greece geographically. I do hope for some "Clash of the Titans" story that includes Olympians in one of her solo films.

And I agree about flashbacks, unlike some people I never had a problem with that particular storytelling device.

By the way, here's a HD photo of Gadot as Diana:

Yup, that wear looks great! Love the way Wilkinson has dressed the Trinity.

Love the news that WW is a prime catalyst for the forming of the League.

There are some people who are convinced WW takes the role of Green Arrow's from TDKR and helps out Batman in the fight but I feel that's highly unlikely and I never thought to guess it. Especially since she's painted as a sort of peace keeper with all these bits of info coming out. I don't think she'll be taking sides at all in this fight.

I agree. Actually, I believe she will help pacify the two post-fight.

Yeah, I don't think she is a secret weapon against Supes.

Ooooooh, she has? I'm so glad to hear this. (I've been trying to avoid written spoilers as much as possible, so I was unaware of this)

It seemed to me that she will be the one to bring reason to Bats vs Supes. In the article Snyder says the she represents the justice part of the title. Snyder also said that her fights are as intense as the boys' and Snyder's wife cried when she stepped on set in her full costume.

I am 100% on board with this. There has to be someone to be the voice of reason between the boys if they're not willing to compromise, and if that's Diana, well then that's just awesome. Plus that gives her one hell of a significant role if she's the basic founder/collaborator of the Justice Leader. Hell yeah!

Yea. I'm guessing that as she's been described as, "a key catalyst of pushing the story towards the Justice League.".

I hope she is the leader of the League.

Batman is too paranoid. Superman is a rookie. WW is experienced, wise and compassionate. She is the best leader of the three.
