Simone was vehemently opposed to the marriage. She said that she would never write Black Canary as long as she was married to Green Arrow.

I think a divorce would have been acceptable, but Black Canary came off a little too *****y when she said that she was done with Ollie.

Ah, well, at least something good came of Ollie becoming a murderer. Again.

I really wouldn't call Ollie a Wolverine-esque murderer anymore. He realized what he did was wrong, turned himself in, and was put on trial. The jury found him innocent, but he knew that the jury was wrong and he should have been properly punished. He regrets what he did, says that Dinah deserves better, that Mia deserves better, and doesn't want help in trying to get his life back in order because he doesn't deserve it.

At least it isn't like Wolverine where he "feels" bad about who he's become yet continues to do so.

She can be married and still be strong, just not to a dude who's broken her heart more times than I can count. It becomes pretty pathetic when a dude emotionally abuses a woman as much as Ollie has Dinah and the woman keeps crawling back to him.

She apparently has a partner and a son so I'm guessing no. And it's less to do with Dinah being married, more to do with who she was married to. Ollie is a creep and a pretty poor character all told. He just drags Dinah down and demeans her as a character really

Simone doesn't want Dinah to be single and lonely. She just doesn't want her to be stuck in a marriage to a creep like Ollie

Yeah, that's why Black Canary came off as too *****y in that scene. If they're going to have her dump Green Arrow, have it when he was being a jackass.

He hated lying to her. He lied to her because he knew that she would have been opposed to what he felt what was needed to be done. Hell, having Ollie shooting her with one of his trick arrows would have been a much better reason for the emotional abuse that Corp mentioned. Lying about Prometheus was just a poor excuse.

I would consider sleeping with Black Lightning's niece (and cheating on Black Canary in the process) and Manitou Raven's wife to be sleezy. And I would consider Meltzer's retcon of Ollie knowing about Connor from the day he was born to be sleezy as well.

And his characterisation in GA/BC is incredibly annoying as well. In a nails down a calkboard kind of way
