Yes, they are stronger than Superman through their Ki/energy beams but since Superman is fast enough to dodge them, the DBZ universe is still screwed for the sheer fact that they tire out much quicker than Superman.

Superman couldn't beat Silver Surfer, let alone Goku who can blow up planets, read minds, move at light speed, just like superman, and is a master fighter. Calling the Z fighters weak is silly. Vegeta was doing one finger pushups in 400 times gravity long before he even became a super saiyan 1. With each transformation their power increased exponentially.

All I know is that the guy knows how to film a fight/action scene, which is key for a Dragonball movie. Certain directors can't film one to save their lives. At least we have a guy who has a bit of experience with exaggerated fight sequences.

That's what is being reported but we don't have official confirmation yet.

I hope not, that's a hell of a long wait & I was looking forward to seeing the movie this year. However, the only good thing about it being pushed back if it's true is that they'll be able to make more adjustments & fix what needs to be fixed.
