    Happy Easter, Guest!

Worst Batman tpb?

Thought the new "Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul" was rather bad. Even though I love the character, I would've liked to see him dead for a while longer.

^ it wasn't as bad as bad as Ras Al Ghul: Year One

what's so good about it? i couldn't even finish it when i borrowed it from the library. maybe I'll try again
As the Crow Flies? I'm not sure why I like it. I've read it a million times and still enjoy it everytime. I think mostly because I like seeing old villains as a threat. This arc really makes Scarecrow an scary villain and he gets even worse. Plus there's a really cool scene at the end where Batman kicks the ***** outta a hulking beast along with Alfred and Robin. Its pretty great.

I would actually say Hush, and that included both the story and the art. IMHO, Jim lee, as great as he is, is totally wrong for Batman.

okay it's definitely over-rated but it's far from the worst, c'mon. choose again :yay:

After reading Last Laugh I fell in love with Hush. it is those near death experiences that make you savor the simple things in life.

Yeah I definately didn't like the Res of Ra or the Son of Bat... Those were both pretty bad.

Batman: Dark Detective was really bad. Steve Englehart.......bad, bad writing lol at least in that book.

I forgot about that one. I remember the buzz around it when we heard it was being done. The classic team of Englehart and Rogers doing it. Silver St Cloud being brought back. Joker, Two Face, Scarecrow etc all being in it.

And it was absolutely awful. The plot was a total mess. The spark and chemistry between Bruce and Silver from the 70's comics was absent, and the villains were dull as ditch water.

hey ditch water can be amazing...well after you read some of morrisons writing... I am just bagging on the guy every chance i get.

it's a fun take and was much more enjoyable than 99% of the modern Bat-comics.

yeah....so fun I wanted to put it down and never pick it up again. I don't know much about Englehart but his writing is cliched and predictable, at least in Dark Detective.

Yeah Batman detective is pretty boring. I just bought Batman year two fear the reaper and it's terrible.

Yeah, he went a little senile in that book. But in his heyday he was one of the definitive Batman writers.

I finished Batman: Going Sane the only thing that redeemed that book was the Batman: Emergency Room add-on at the end.

The worst I have is Batman: Secrets, by...Sam Kieth I think is his name. Got it as a gift. Suckage to the max. Writing and art.

I have the single issues of Grotesk, that was pretty bad too. But it gave us Johnny Karoake!

Hahahahahah I found Secrets realy enjoyable.
Batman Dark Detective, wasn't really my cup a tea, Rogers's art was at his best in the original.

I know a lot of people consider Batman: Gothic a great read, but it is one of the few that I can't even finish. I just hate every single thing about that one.

God that book was awful.

pretty much all the elseworlds crap that got dredged up in countdown. vampire batman, frankenstein batman, sherlock holmes batman, go away!

How did you not like Batman: bloodstorm? I mean I understand if you didn't like Crimson Mist or Red Rain but Bloodstorm is simply amazing. Kelly Jones is at his best on bloodstorm.

Batman has more one-shots and miniseries than any other character. there's gonna be ALOT of crap.

fortunately the worst the tpb I have the pleasure of owning is Dark Victory. I keep it away from my other books because it ruins the site of them.
WTF???
You dont like Dark Victory, why???

I think it's okay. The only problem I have with it is that the art looks way too much like Watchmen.
