Worst Movies of the Year for 2006!

MIAMI VICE WAS THE WORST MOVIE.

Everyone pretty much hated it: Fans of the show, 80 percent of viewers, the critics, the general audience, ME.

The movie was supposed to be so good. Michael Mann is an amazing director and the cast and trailers were promising, however, when the film began you couldnt even understand what people were saying...unless they swore..that was always accentuated..and the plot progression was so sloppy that you couldnt even understand how one thing was connected to the other. and it was 2 and a half hours ....the gun fights were okay but the movie was so massively dissapointing and terrible that it registers as worst movie.
Not if you were paying attention.....

prolly because it was too adult for you.... go wathc Bad Boys... and jack off to the explosions.....

dude..heat and collateral are among my favourite movies, there from the same director as miami vice..and they are infinately better films.

for someone calling me immature..your comment sure was fitting "go jack off to explosions".. good job buddy, you know you could probably get banned for saying crap like that especially when not provoked.

do you think critics at the washington posts are not adult enough for miami vice because they didnt like it...

i was exagerating in my original post, obviously remarks like 80 percent hated it are not facts...just as alot of you guys are doing when you posted your least favourite films. Point is it is my opinion..i thought it was a hard to understand movie for 2 reasons, things were not always explained and michael mann had the actors talking in a way where sometimes it was inaudible. Im not flaming your choice, dont flame mine. Black Dahlia was not well recieved at all and it was also very convulted, why arent you flaming the many in this thread who dont like that movie?

Gwai wik (aka Re-Cycle)
Kummelin Jackpot
Silent Hill
Ultraviolet (Give us the Wimmer Cut :cmad:)
X-Men: The Last Stand

i keep hearing bloodrayne is so bad. i know it is but ive never seen it...is it worth renting just so i can join in the flaming? or should i save my money..I'm in the mood to hate on good old Uwe so...decisions?

I couldn't finish Ultraviolet. Incomplete movie. I would like to see the director's vision, and not the Sony crapfest.

yah it was really liked. Its imdb score is a 6.1 by the way and considering that movies that people commonly dislike score in the 7's thats not that great. And in my rotten tomatoes screen you will see that both users and critics did not enjoy this movie at all. I used some sense and pulled off some great lines for you from respected critics. By the way the reason i posted that particular imdb review is that 211 people agreed.

[/B]and if you think im just pulling negative ones to make my point then all i have to say is only 48 percent were positive and they are barely positive meaning that for negative reviews i had a large choice. Within the user reviews comments along the lines of the movie is a shell of the greatness the show was is quite common.

I am sorry, but when 1/2, or even 2/3rd Cream of the Crop at Rotten Tomatoes, give the movie a positive review, that is hardly 'Everyone pretty much hated it', if you don't see that that is sad.

You disliked the movie, as some others did, but don't lie by saying everyone did.

I like how 'dissapointed' and 'cheated and let down' = 'worst movie of the year' to come people.

Exactly.
If you seriously say SR, your post shouldn't mean jacks***.

Wait until January.
The movie was SO BAD that it is already coming on TV after a year, and it's premiering on Sci-Fi channel. :o

Wait for it to come on TV.
You'll only miss a sex scene.

Lady in The Water

X3

When a Stranger Calls

The Black Dahlia

Scary Movie 4

Otherwise, If it looked bad.. I didnt watch it.

Why the Superman Returns hate? I personally thought it was a great movie. I actually felt as if the original Superman was slow. Superman Returns was a charming way to bring back the character in an exciting manner. The colours were brilliant, and the film drew you in.

Worst movie would go to... Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. I watched the first film on DVD the night before to give me that feeling of 'the continuing story'. However, when I went to watch DMC, the film reused many of the first film's jokes, the new jokes felt stale and dull, the film wasn't very exciting, and it in no way gave me the thrills of the first movie. The ending with Barbossa was a little thing to smile about, but the first film is by far the better film. All of the hype that came before, the comparisons with the first film, and the constant praise made the experience even worse.

My Super Ex-Girlfriend....horrible! I want the two hours of my life back.

You know the more i watch Superman Returns.. I dont really see what all the fuss was about. Sure it had its problems but people should be glad they got somthing that atleast had pretty decent quality too it and no way is this one of the worst films of the year.. do you people not remember a little Brett Ratner film called X-Men: The Last Stand? I'm sorry i may just be a lover of quality movies that arent just flash and garbage or possibly just prefer Singer's vision on the films than Ratners.. But i hated that film.

SUPERMAN RETURNS, for all its flaws, did manage moments of absolutely cinematic wonder. Clark watching Lois ascend in the elevator with X-ray vision, for one.

Ooh. HOSTEL. If I had seen it, I bet it would be my #1 worst film of the year.

And can I just say I can't believe the hate for SUPERMAN RETURNS? Okay, so the movie was flawed - but was it really that painful to sit through? (Personally, I dug it.)
Trust me, it is. Its the polar opposite of Casino Royale.

I didn't see to many films this year, but the ones I did see I enjoyed. However, I wasn't too impressed with X-Men 3.

You guys may dislike Superman Returns, but honestly it's not the worst of the year... Put it up in comparison to a bunch of the crap that came out: Van Wilder 2, My Super Ex-Girlfriend, Bring It On: All or Nothing, Home of the Brave... come on, it's not that awful, because those are just pure crap on film... Superman is not crap, it's just not what you personally wanted/liked/expected, whatever.

I wouldn't say Miami Vice was a bad movie, just an extremely slow one. The beginning and end alone make it worth watching then many other movies that came out this year.

And damn, how did I forget about When A Stranger Calls. That had to be the biggest piece of **** that I saw this year. I'm starting to not like this thread, it's making me remember painful things. :(

I couldnt agree more. Camilla Belle made me want to vomit with her acting skills and the whole movie itself went nowhere with a lackluster killer to say the least. :down

Wow, interesting, I actually thought there was kind of a horror revival this year

some fantastic enteries

Hills Have Eyes, Silent Hill, Saw 3, Descent, Hard Candy (if counts as a horror, its more of a thriller) An American Haunting was average, the film style was cool

I dunno, I thought there where some very solid horror flicks released in 06

I agree with this, especially The Descent. I have reservations with the ending of American Haunting though.

so we all agree that Clerks 2 and Borat were atleast "good"?

Clerks 2 was pretty good and lived up to what i would consider a proper sequel to the original.

Borat on the other hand looks ridiculous and i never bothered to see it.
